General Remodeling
Workers arrived upbeat and positive and eager to work; however, appeared to need excessive coaching. The owner/contractor micro-managed every aspect of work performed, appearing overwhelmed and rushed.
Hired task proceeded throughout the day with one minor hiccup mid-afternoon when materials were delivered and no-one was present to receive. Contractor appeared willing to resolve quality issues; however, once paid, quickly cleaned-up work area and made empty promise to return to make sure job was satisfactory.
If considering hiring this contractor, might want to consider the following:
1. In detail, outline exactly what outcome (result) desired - no such thing as too much detail with this contractor.
2. Pay only 1/2 up front, then with-hold balance for about 1 week after job finished. Should be enough time to discern if job will last and was completed satisfactoryily.
3. Don't allow patches or attempt to fix to end product - if anything is not satisfactory, have contractor remove material and start again.
