Local company. Recommended by both neighbors, with one getting their roof done the previous month. Original roof, and coming up on 25+ years of wear. We started to get ceiling leaks. Savaras was quick to answer the call. They scheduled a visit within the first week. I knew and they knew it would be a complete re-roofing. They gave me a detailed estimate, and responded promptly whenever I called or emailed for questions. I also had a couple other companies give me estimates. When it came down to Svaras and one other competitor (both on Angi with 4-stars and 25+ reviews, I exchanged estimates with them and asked what they liked & didn't like. Svaras gave me the most honest opinion. That and their cost was significantly cheaper. The materials they used were the same for all other competitors. Not much else to say there. The job was executed less than 2 weeks after signing the contract. They did it in one day. Again this is a 2-story house with an attached 3-car garage. The crew was all said to be local. I have security cameras around the perimeter. With all the footage, and me peeking out from the house, they worked hard. All day, with a lunch in between. Cleanup is the only area I can't necessarily give a perfect 5/5. I am certain they did a good job for the most part. They laid tarps to collect all disposal. And they brought a 7x14 trailer to throw it all in. It was on the contract they would magnetically sweep for nails daily. There were still plenty of nails that I can see with the naked eye on the driveway and deck. Since it was a 1-day job, my mind thinks it wasn't the best sweeping because it would have happened at night. It would have been exceptional to see a followup sweep the next day. Total Cost: $10-$13k

Pricey but good work. Peter's crew was efficient and he addressed a sagging truss I was concerned about. Finished roof looks great and Peter was good to work with.

We are really happy with our Owens Corning Duration Shingle roof installation and have received many compliments from our neighbors. Peter is very responsive and communicative. He and his crew went above and beyond to do the job right and they left our property in great shape, cleaning up all the roofing debris. I appreciate that Peter doesn’t try to sell you more products. Instead, he has your best interest in mind, as the client. For example, we were considering replacing our gutters because we wanted to change the color. Peter pointed out the gutters were in good shape and could be painted for the desired color change. His pricing is competitive.

I think Pete is considerate and professional when connecting with clients. Pete was snappy about getting me a quotation, and followed up after the quote was delivered. Pete was willing to step through the entire quote so I clearly understood what I was going to be paying for. Once we met and I signed/accepted his proposal, the project started within two weeks. I was a little disturbed that the roofers were a little sloppy refuse was everywhere. I'll be worried about nails in car tires and or feet for weeks after work is completed. These guys need to be better at managing their project, keeping the job site tidy during the project. Also, they hacked away at trees, which worked me up. Otherwise, I am satisfied with Pete's crew. Nice guys and didn't monkey around, go the project done. I am quite please with the service provided. I would/will recommend Pete to others.

Very well. Peter was very prompt with returning phone calls, and explaining everything that needed to be done. He and his crew are very professional, and took great care with job performance, and clean up.

Their price was competitive. It was right in the range. I got three quotes, so it was right in the range of everyone. Their cost was acceptable and reasonable. He was easy to work with. He was easy to get in touch with and he responded to any questions or calls or whatever.  Some of these guys are impossible to get a hold of. It's even hard to make an appointment because they think they're busy, but he took care of his business like a business. I would use them in the future and I would recommend him. I have recommended him to other people.

Very well-they wound up doing two of my neighbors roofs after mine as well. Both of them are tradesmen and very selective. We were all happy with all aspects of the service, responsiveness and professionalism demonstrated by Svaras Roofing.

Excellent. Peter responded for my request for a quotation within a day. Once we decided on having Svaras do the job, Peter kept me informed of when his crew would be there, then followed up when they were finished to be sure everything was to our liking. I needed a roof vent added to connect the kitchen exhaust and they were very accommodating and easy to work out the details with.

We have a roof that is a roofer's nightmare (or challenge). Another roofer who came to estimate the job never called back! Not Pete. From the moment he arrived for the estimate, he was all over the roof making detailed notes and taking pictures. The roof has about 3 or 4 levels, with part almost flat and other parts with a very steep slope. In addition, it is a stucco cottage style house where the roof wraps the fascia on the front side and the stucco soffits do not allow for proper ventilation. Pete found and installed a unique venting system which solved all of our previous ventilation problems. The poor ventilation was the reason we needed to replace 60 sheets of decking. We knew the roof would be tough, and there would be unforeseen complications. However, with every situation, before any additional work was done, Pete took a picture, talked to us about options and costs, and then followed our decisions.  

This was one of the best (if not the best) companies we have ever worked with. When we say companies, what it really comes down to is Pete. He has a great crew, which he has obviously trained well. The crew worked incredibly hard, while always being polite and respectful. They made sure the roof was protected from the weather every night, and the surroundings cleaned up. Throughout the process, we always felt that Pete and his crew were communicating and making sure the job went smoothly.

We strongly recommend Pete and Svaras Roofing. If you have a difficult job, or just a plain replacement, Svaras Roofing is the only company you need to call. You will not be disappointed. 



 

It went splendidly! It could not have gone better, unless of course he paid me to do it. My daughter-in-law just used it as well, with a similar experience. They're immaculate and prompt. They seem so incredibly honorable. You just trust Peter immediately, there's something about him. I've had other roofs before, but there's not a drop of essence that a new roof was installed. The covered my garage door and my deck with big tarps, as well as my driveway to prevent any damage. They came, they did their job, and they were gone. His cost even came in less than his bid. Everybody that I get should work out as well as Peter.

After the last wind storm we found shingles in the yard -- looking up saw the roof was in trouble., Called Peter, who repaired/replaced my roof at my previous house, and asked him to come out. He came, he saw, he fixed everything, including some stuff I wasn't even aware of! I highly recommend Svaras roofing!

Svaras Roofing was recommended to us by a different contractor performing work at our home, and we were not disappointed. Peter was honest and up-front about the different challenges he anticipated during the tear-off and replacement processes, and was able to coordinate the project around the other contractor who was working on our home at the same time. The roofing crew was prompt and courteous and cleaned up after themselves at the end of each work day. The gutter crew did a great job creating a custom configuration to accommodate a very awkward spot on our house. The whole project, start to finish, was complete in just 4 working days, which is excellent considering we had some less-than-desirable weather to deal with. The final cost was also very close to the estimate, which is always a pleasant surprise for us (old house with lots of 'unconventional' repairs made over the years). 

I called Peter to perform a small roof repair on my elderly mother’s home.  Many companies would not even talk to me.  But Peter was just wonderful, and came out the very next day because rain was expected.  After inspecting the roof, Peter gold my mother that the repair was not necessary, and sent me pictures to back up his assessment.  He did not charge my mother or me anything.

I really can’t say enough about the professionalism and integrity of Peter.  He could have easily ignored my phone call, since it was such a small job…but he didn’t, rather, he was as responsive as if I wanted to buy a whole new roof.  He could easily have sold us a repair we didn’t need (after all, we already thought we needed it)...but he didn’t, rather, he showed impeccable  integrity by not recommending a repair.

In sum, Peter went above and beyond, even while knowing that he had little to gain by looking at a small repair on an elderly lady’s roof.

Pete and his crew did a great job.  We obtained several quotes from roofers on Angie's List and found this contractor to be the best.

Peter Svaras was totally responsive to the specification I provided to him on what I wanted done regarding the roofing, vents and underlayment repair of our home. He was very straight forward with his assessment, recommendations and quotation of the job. He has his own employees and did not use any subcontractors. The workers were totally focussed on their work, courteous and politely answered any questions I had along the way. They provided more than reasonable protection of the surrounding landscaping, siding, gutters and underground drainage system. This was a large job that took 5 days to complete. They never removed more roof than could be protected from the frequent rain showers we were having in the late spring. There was no dumpster required because they totally removed all old materials and cleaned up at the end of every workday. I would recommend this company in a heart-beat.

Peter was prompt in getting back to me and kept me well-informed about when his men would perform the work. The man who came to perform the work was polite and efficient. He even took pictures of the work he performed since I could not see it from the ground. I would absolutely use them again.
