The remote control on the ceiling fan was causing it to malfunction.

It would take 4-5 clicks before it would turn on or off.

The rep removed the remote control and turned the fan into a manual operation mode, which was fine with me.

Now you have pull the cord - but it works consistently each time.

I called him on a Wednesday and said he would come Sunday morning and hang the light. My ceiling in the entry is 15 feet tall. He brought the correct equipment to do the job and was done in about 1 hour. On the phone he said it would cost about $100.00 but after he was done with the job without any problems he said I just had to pay $75.00. If  I need any more electrical done I will use Shelby Electric and ask for Bill Leisner.

We had purchased a big deal for the service, and it turned out fine. This was the first time that I used them. I would recommend them. They were very professional. I haven't had any issues with the lighting since the installation.The pricing was good because it was a special deal, but I don't know what I would say about their normal cost.

I purchased the big deal coupon for this service and it was great.  He was very nice and I would recommend him.  He was on time as well and I have no complaints.  The big deal was for $99 but I ended up spending more than that.

John Rawlings was the electrician who actually did the work.  He was courteous, cleaned up after the work, helpful in making decisions. I will use him again in the future.

This was my second Big Deal.  Given how well the first one turned out, I was hopeful that this Big Deal would be equally good.  Am pleased to report that it was.  Provider's professionalism was spot on.  An attentive listener, he knew exactly what to do once the problems were described and dispatched each of them with remarkable efficiency.  I've done more than a few DIY electrical projects in my time and have been successful with most of them.  Two of those that weren't are what this report is about.  It was refreshing to watch a real electrician get the job done right the first time.

Everything was perfect.  What materials he did not have, he went to the local hardware store and picked them right away. 
 The price above also includes all the  fixtures and switches and bulbs. It was an exceptional deal for us.  We will call him again.

Bill and Mike were absolutely great!  They ran into serious issues with the family room due to obstacles in the walls and ceiling, but they kept us informed of options and did the work with minimal patching needed.  The bedroom work was done quickly with no patching needed.
I absolutely recommend Shelby Electric, and will hire them for any electrical work that I don't tackle myself.

It turned out well.  He had to go up in the attic, a tight spot and it was hot.  I think he did a pretty good job.  Then had to come back second time not because any of his fault, he had to come back the second time because when the original people built the house, they ran some venting PVC in between the joints  and so we were having him replace a bath fan as part of his thing and in there was not enough room to put a new bath fan and really any new bath fan. Now days I guess they make them bigger and so there was not enough room so he put the old one and after he took it out he put the old one back. And I had to get somebody else in here to move the vent pipes up in the attic and then he came back after that to put the finish to the job.  He did a good job; he was there when he was supposed to be, and he was a nice guy and seemed to know what he was doing. I think he could have been better with clean up but it wasn't all his fault there was a huge dry, he had to cut dry wall everywhere and so there was dust all over the place.

The work took approximately two hours. Electrician, John, did a great job. Very courteous and professional. He cleaned all mess before leaving. We asked him to quote for more work on the spot since we were so pleased with the service. He was running slightly late, but did give us a call to notify us of the delay. All in all we were very satisfied and would use again.

It went well. The subcontractor that was hired by Shelby Electric to fulfill these Angie's List deals came to my home and installed some bathroom fans that I purchased from Menards. He did a good job and I just paid him cash. Like I mentioned, I could not wait for the other bath fans to come in.

We have since had him back to complete additional work.    We are very pleased with the quality of his work.
