Mark's Tree Service

We recently bought a jungle, along with a house. Our property consists of 2/3 of an acre with a small creek running along one lot line. It's obvious a previous owner loved to garden, but in more recent years much of the property had been neglected and left to grow wild, as well as one side lot being wooded and undeveloped. We had two very large and old, dying willow trees that straddle a small creek and were clogging the flow of storm water through the wooded area. We also had a diseased and storm damaged maple and many other neglected trees, such as Austrian pines, ash, and mulberry. Some of the work was fairly straight forward, but when I called tree companies for estimates, some wouldn't even come out to look at the willows. Another company recommended we call Mark because of the scope of our project (which one company wanted to quote as three separate jobs.) I am so grateful for this recommendation because Mark and his crew handled the job like it was kid's play.
Our job was very weather dependent due to the low-lying wooded lot and the creek flowing directly between the two trees needing to come down. As soon as the ground could support the massive bucket truck, they were on the job with wood planking to put down a temporary base for the equipment. It took two days to complete (with a rain interruption of course!) and the crew worked their behinds off. The guys were all friendly and respectful and you can tell they enjoy their job and working together. They were also very clean on the job site and not only cleaned up our yard space of debris, but also anywhere it fell in neighbor's yards. They took extra precautions by placing plywood sheeting up to shield the stump grinder from spraying chips too far once our neighbor's kids came home in the afternoon and were watching all the work being done.
The willows and the maple were huge, dangerous trees, and they worked in a very safe and conscientious manner to remove them. Did I mention they have giant, tree eating equipment? I have no doubt that when it comes to trees, these guys can handle the job. Mark's quote was extremely reasonable and he made sure our property lines are clear and ready for the fencing we want to have installed. Another company quoted a much higher cost and would only remove the trees themselves, but Mark's crew cleared the lot that was wooded, including the understory growth and even trimmed up a few trees that we wanted to keep. I love how our remaining mulberry looks now and our other huge silver maple is beautiful and healthy.
Mark's quote was the lowest and was spot on when it came to invoicing the finished job. He also saved us some money by suggesting we call the township/county to remove a diseased ash that was just outside our property line, which they did in a timely manner. Now our previously overgrown lots that had been a dumping ground for dead logs and debris are clean and easy to maintain and our trees look great. We've already gotten compliments from neighbors and have recommended Mark's service. I would not hesitate to call Mark in the future for all our tree needs.

Reasonable price, prompt, on-time. They did an excellent job and cleaned up after themselves. I had two trees taken down and it was like the trees were never there. We will be using them again in the spring.

I would recommend calling Mark's Tree Service for all tree problems and service. From cutting down trees, cabling some and removing debris, all work was done efficiently.

I called the company and had a call back and visit later in the day, when Mark checked the crack in the tree and said it was deep. Because the tree is a red oak, the base was probably also hollow. Mark and his crew showed up at 7am the following morning to remove the tree.
They came with trucks, cranes. etc. and a large crew. Fortunately the tree was easily accessible so it came down in about 5 large sections. There was soon little trace of the tree, except a pile of sawdust - which came out of a TOTALLY HOLLOW tree trunk!
Although I cry whenever I lose an older tree, I am happy that this one was taken down before it fell across the road and ON my house!

Mark arrived on appointed time schedule. He was punctual and professional in all services required. He removed all six (6) storm damaged trees and stumps without any damage to landscape or home. He and his crew worked from start to finish removing all tree debris, raking and blowing even the tiniest wood shavings from the yard. Mark even put planks under his heavy equipment to save the yard and driveway from any further damage. He performed these above average services within six (6) hours. He even showed me how rotted the trees were and why they had fallen. Mark believes in safety for his crew and the homeowner first. Everyone wore safety hats and glasses. Losing trees is always painful but Mark pointed out how rotten the trees were. They were hollow inside. It's better to be proactive instead of reactive. Mark saved my house from tree damage by removing trees that eventually would have fallen on it. Overall it was an excelllent experience.

He's very good. The last time he did work for me was three years ago. He was only there for a couple of hours. He promptly answers phone calls. Even if you have to leave a voice mail he gets back to you. He does a good and thorough job. He is knowledgeable. Every time I've dealt with him he's done it for a fair price. He knows what he's doing and gets right to it. He does what we ask and sometimes a little bit more. He never cuts a corner. He is usually on the job site with his workers so he's there to offer information and answer questions. The last time he was there right when he said. When you're doing tree work there is no exact time because sometimes the job will go little quicker or might take a little longer but he is there within the time frame that he says. He's very accessible with the phone. I definitely would recommend him.

They arrived when he said they would, they trimmed the trees to my satisfaction and cleaned up the yard when they were done.. The price quoted was the amount I paid.

Mark provided a quote one day, and was available with his crew the next as promised. His team took down a large dead oak tree that was complicated due to location next to a house and other prominent trees. The team took it down surgically, with no collateral damage. They also groomed up some other trees quickly and per request without issue. He offered the lowest bid with a great result. I would highly recommend his services to anyone.
