I called another another heating company for repair on my furnace & they told me it could not be fixed, it was to old to get parts for and it would cost me $5400.00 for a new furnace & air conditioner. I said I wanted to get other quotes & suddenly they could find the parts! I felt like I was being taken for a ride so I told them no I still wanted other input from another company & they became more ... well acting strangely. I looked in Google & found a local company ,Ellis Mechanical , they came out and found the problem was the gas valve. They had the part on their truck and had it fixed in 30 minutes. My furnace was old and I didn't want anymore problems so I asked them if they could give me prices for a new furnace and air conditioner. They gave me a quote for high efficient replacement of $4500.00 installed. They still charged me for the service call but credited me for the gas valve and kept the old furnace running until they came back to replace it all. My total was close to $4600.00 including the service call and the replacement only took one day. The price I ended up paying was normal I think but their service was great and honest.
