Anaya and Sons Fence Company

I was part of a job spanning three adjacent houses. Neighbor hired Anaya to replace the old fence between our yards, and I hired Anaya to install the last piece connecting that fence to my house and garage. Two years later one of the cedar panels on the back gate cracked and split in half. Anaya ignored two phone calls and an email. Finally responded to a second email and quoted $275 for the repair. Insulting. This is a 20-minute repair. He pointed to the one-year warranty and made clear he has no interest in standing behind his work. So I'll search for the cedar board and just fix it myself. I suggest hiring a contractor who cares enough about quality to stand behind their work and make it right when small problems happen. Anaya isn't that contractor.

The fence looks great! Sergio was easy to work with, pretty laid back demeanor. Coordinated the fencing project with another company putting in new sidewalks, which was great. Sergio always replied quickly to messages, questions. Clean up could have been a little more thorough but not a big deal. Definitely would recommend and hire again.

First off, the fence looks great and they even came out before winter to shore up the old fence until it could be replaced. Unfortunately, installation was very shoddy. The posts for the back gate were not plumb and the result was problems with the gate. In resonse to my requests to fix this, I got delays and half measures. Finally, although the problem was obvious—crooked posts—they agreed to reset the posts. Even then, they did the bare minimum and reset only one post. The other is still not straight, even to the naked eye. The gate no longer functions properly, a mere few months after installation. When I complained, I was told the warranty expired. In short, poor work quality. Slow responses to problems. Responses were half measures, at best. Six months after installation, I will probably need to bring someone else in to reset the post so my gate actually latches. The picture shows, as best as I could capture it, how the post is not straight. Note the gap differences from top to bottom. This is why latch will not work properly. I really wanted to like these guys. They seemed hard working and ambitious. I was wrong.

Could not have been easier. Sergio came out to survey the yard and get an idea of what we wanted, we discussed options/pros and cons of styles and materials (which matched my research). After some back and forth, we arrived at a 6ft tall, horizontal cedar fence around the perimeter of the back yard. It was installed in over 2 days- 1 day to set the posts and a second day to complete the installation. Sergio and his team were punctual and professional. Sergio answered every question and concern I had quickly and with clarity. We got several quotes from reputable companies, but felt most comfortable with Anaya. Pricepoint was just below the average we were quoted, and the result was terrific. The fence is beautiful and well constructed.

Sergio was very personable and professional. He provided an estimate within a day or 2 of coming out to our house for the initial consult. Ours was a big job and challenging due to the rolling gate we wanted. He didn't bat an eye. Our fence looks beautiful and if we need these type of services in the future I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Sergio from the get go was personable, polite and professional. Once I told him what I needed he got back to me with an estimate within a couple of days. He communicated with me every step of the way and because it was almost December he was realistic about being able to set the posts due to the colder weather and risking the cement for the posts not setting right. When he initially came out to measure for my new fence I stopped by my neighbor's house next door as a courtesy to let them know what I was planning. My neighbor was impressed with Sergio and hired him to do his fence as well! He did both mine and my neighbors at the same time. I would definitely recommend Sergio and his team...top notch company.

Sergio and his team were awesome. In addition to being very responsive to emails and phone calls (usually received a response from him within an hour), Sergio was very thorough in explaining the entire process -- from obtaining the permits and how deep the posts should be to when we should stain the fence. When I requested that Anaya & Sons not replace the gate locks because of the security they provided, Sergio went one better: He replaced the locks with two sets that were even more secure than their predecessors. Oh yeah: And the fence looks gorgeous!

They hauled old fence away and left everything clean.

Sergio and crew were awesome. They worked unpleasant conditions to get the fence posts sunk before the landscapers installed our new sod. Our new fence looks beautiful, and we could not be happier. They were professional, and very nice.

Sergio was a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. Our fence was blown down during a windstorm and had completely collapsed. Although I called several contractors on Angie's List, only Sergio replied. He came the next day, emailed me a quote the same day along with a date when he could start the work. His price was very reasonable but due to a snafu with our insurance, we had to wait for over a month to begin the work. Sergio met with us the very evening we called to say we could get the work done. We scheduled the work and he took care of getting the proper permits from the village. He came on the date scheduled, put up the posts the first day and came later in the week to put up the rest of the fence. The fence was put up quickly, and looks very nice and most importantly feels very sturdy. Sergio cleaned up everything -- and took my old fence out and disposed of it. We have an extensive perennial garden which he worked around for which I am very thankful. I happened to mention during one of our conversations that my garden latch was always a bother and he remembered and brought a latch and installed it. Loved working with Sergio -- I highly recommend him.

Record-setting wind velocity last week had blown down not only traffic lights, trees and roofing, but an 18-foot section of my fence. The section was laying in the neighbor's yard and making life with my three dogs a nightmare.

I called and left a message the morning after the storm and wasn't expecting any replies due to the volume of work. Sergio got back to me that morning (on a Saturday), and promised to come out that day to give me an estimate.

Due to a backlog of calls, he didn't get to it until the next morning (Sunday!), but he quoted me a fair price and said he would have it done by Thursday. He also picked up the big section of fence and propped it up in my yard and out of the way of the neighbor.

Long story short, he came and finished the job on Tuesday. Pretty amazing considering all the repair work from the storm.

I will definitely use this company again! Sergio was friendly, courteous, responsive, and professional. Top notch!

Sergio is extremely polite and professional. He beat the price of A1 fence, even after A1 slaughtered me with discounts and schemes to provide a cheaper fence. My head was spinning after speaking with A1 because of their high pressure sales. Sergio came with his crew to supervise and help. Their work is beautiful and beyond what I had expected. He completed the work on schedule and took all the debris  away. He is the only one of the three companies that was going to get a work permit. Efficient and attention to detail.

Sergio is a very smart young business person.  He was right on time for his estimate.  His price was the best.  He and his crew worked very hard.  He got the building permit.  They tore down and disposed of the existing fence. They installed the new  fence. 

Sergio was excellent to work with and communicated with me during the project.

I found his service via a 5 star rating through Yelp. Sergio is a class act and like myself a working man. He was the first person I talked to who wanted to come out during evening hours. He showed up on time on the scheduled date. I decided if the price was right, he'd get the job. His service was prompt, courteous, clean, and of high quality. I am very happy with the work completed.

Sergio came out promptly upon my call.  He sent an estimate, which I thought was very fair for the work involved. I want to
mention that I called 3 other local fence contractors, who said they repair chain link fence, but never called back. What I find sad is they were all Angie's list members. If you don't want repair work, don't have your phone people lead the customer on that your company does it.
Anyway, I would recommend Sergio from Anaya & Sons Fence Co any day.

We needed a barrier on our street-side property line to keep people off our property. Contacted the contractor and signed a contract.  There was a slight delay in starting the project because all the rain we've had put the contractor behind on the jobs that were scheduled before ours.  When the job finally started, there was a slight problem with the quality of the posts being used, but it was quickly resolved and we continued with the job.  We are very pleased with the final result.  They did a neat job and cleaned up well after themselves. Sergio, the owner, was very courteous and accommodating to our needs.  We would use them again.
