Overall they were professional and they improved on the fact that, I think that the cleaning and maintenance service was excellent and we do have some water leaking from an overflow and they I guess weren't able to do that because they were busy or something like that but I would say that just in general there's like a pressure tank or something and it may have needed service and they just weren't able to service that right away so they recommended that we purchase a maintenance agreement and we did that and wait until a future date to have that resolved so it's not really a big issue but it would have been nice if they could have serviced and resolved the overflow from the pressure release tank or something like that.

Communication with the company management is very poor. John, service manager, apparently doesn't know how to give messages or make call backs. I figured I would go with them since they oriiginally put in our furnaces. After talking with John and deciding to have our leak looked at and probably do the yearly PM's for $230 for each furnace and AC units ($460 total - no discounts to do two furnaces and 2 AC units), they sent a repairman out. Very nice young man who first looked at our older furnace and found cracks - said it needed replacing. Told us we needed to turn it off (it was 20 degrees outside) because there could possibly be CO2 leaking. (found out later from other reps that it had probably been leaking for quite some time and not a measurable amount of CO2 so turning it off was not really required if it was going to be replaced very soon - the cracks were very small. I also read that on the computer. Service man did a good job - no complaints with him (he was probably a little over cautious, but that's ok). Anyway, he didn't do the PM on the old one as it was going to be replaced. He did do a very good job blowing out the clogged humidifier pipes and doing a PM on our 2nd furnace. When I told him I would like a rep from their company to call me and give me a quote on a new furnace, he said he would have John call. Never got a call from John so I hired TDH Mechanical instead (check out my review for them). Can't believe you have a former customer and a possible new furnace sale and yet no call. Also, when people are willing to have 2 furnaces and 2 AC's PM'd, I would suggest a discounted rate - that's good business.

The service went well. However, I didn't appreciate the idea that they tried to sell me a new furnace. I know that my furnace is old, but it costs money to replace it. If I wanted a new furnace, I would've said so. I didn't appreciate them trying to push a new furnace on me. I had just had my chimney done and air conditioner cleaned. The company that did my air conditioner didn't mention anything about a new furnace. First, they tried to sell me a new furnace. When I declined, they had someone from the office call. I didn't appreciate being pressured.

A very positive experience! Everyone was very polite, courteous and professional. The receptionist went above and beyond. She was pleasant and easy to talk too. The tech did try to sell us a maintenance plan, in addition to doing the repair, which we declined.
I would use them again.

I liked that they were on time and seemed thorough in terms of trying to figure out what was wrong with the unit. However it was $368 and the air conditioner still does not work well so it really did not solve the problem. I don't like spending that much money and still having the unit not work.

They were excellent. The service man arrived exactly to the minute. He did a thorough check of my furnace and a/c. Even though I told the service man he did not have to take off his shoes in my house, he responded oh, yes he did. He wore booties each time he walked through my house. The service man explained and showed how he calculated my a/c was low on freon. He didn't just tell me it was. He added the freon, which was included in my coupon deal. I have had my a/c checked by others every year, and this company was the most professional I have had and really pointed out clearly where my minor problems were so that it was obvious I was being treated honestly. They charged me for nothing extra over the coupon price. Normally, an a/c check is $89.95 from most other companies; with their coupon they charged me $49 total. I am very impressed.
Response from Sun Ray Heating, Inc.

"Your review is very much appreciated - thank you for such positive remarks. I have printed a copy for the technician so he can see how even minor details really do have an impact on our customers. We are pleased to have you as a new customer and look forward to servicing your HVAC needs in the future."

They were fine. I think that they were a bit more expensive. They put pressure on us to sign some sort of service contract where you pay a certain amount and I did not like that. They also try to push stuff like getting a digital thermostat and that kind of thing.

I paid ahead to have them come out in the spring, which saves me more money in the long run. So far, so good. They were early for the appointment, which was good. They finished in a timely manner and laid out alternatives and gave advice for how to service the furnace.
