Apr 4 to Albert:
Brian and I discussed the brick pavers and we would like to reuse the ones we have. The sidewalk can be left if we do that. We do like the "Arebel' (sp) stone. Also, as far as pendent lights, we don't think we want any. We were thinking maybe holders for tiki torches on the posts. Also, lights on the fans.
Thanks,
(Albert assured us he would finalize his bid and get back to us before we went on vacation on 4/27 so we could get started on the project the 1st week of May.)
From Albert Walker Apr 27 (9 days ago): I will not have things ready by Wednesday. Behind schedule. Also distracted with purchase of apartment building. Sorry
From Albert Walker Apr 28 (8 days ago) Julie, I must apologize for the delays regarding your proposal. I feel I must withdraw from your project. I thank you for the opportunity, but at this point, I am too distracted. I don't think I have been able to give your project the time and focus necessary for excellence. I have many personal things going on, including purchasing, planning rehab, etc. of some apartment buildings. It may take me a couple of months to get myself back to a balanced equilibrium. If you choose to go with another contractor not only would I understand, I would be happy to look at your proposal to ensure that all details are covered and that your being taken care of fairly regarding concepts and cost. Once again, thank you, and I apologize.
May 6 1:56 PM (0 minutes ago) to Albert: We just returned from vacation yesterday and I read your e-mail. If you recall, I called you initially beginning of March right after the last snow melted in order to get my outdoor kitchen area ready before summer. Now, one and a half months later and after 3 to 4 visits and reviewing design photos, you decide you can't do the project. To say we are frustrated would be kind. What a waste of time!
"Unfortunately, we developed some labor issues at this time, and were not confident we could meet the clients needs. I need offer to assist them in the process of finding another company and insuring that they were on track with the customers needs. In other words, I would act as a consultant at no charge. I am truly sorry this did not work out. Especially since we have done many other projects them in the past. They were always very happy with our past work, obviously, since they kept call us back. I understand their disappointment, and hope they did have their expectations met."
"I apologize for missing your attempt to contact. For over 6 weeks we had trouble with our phone line (as well as cable service). It took Charter this long to realize that they needed to replace the line to the building. This issue did cause many inconviences for us. Also, the vast majority of our potential clients contact us through our webpage. There is a contact form there, that provides a direct contact to us. We were not aware that emails were being sent to an Angie's List account. Just saw the email last week after A.L. contacted me regarding this review."
"Thank you for the positive review. I am writing this after actually working with you again just last month. Thanks again, you folks are great to work with."
Showed up on time and stayed until job was complete.
Very knowledgeable and skilled in landscaping techniques.
Totally cleaned up after job completed.
Invoice amount was exactly as quoted.
"Thank you for the great review. I hope you are enjoying your 'new' patio space as much as we enjoyed re-creating the space for you. Thanks again."
"Thank you for the great review. I just learned that I have the ability to respond here, had I known earlier, I would have been quick to thank you for the opportunity to work on such an amazing backyard. You have quit the beautiful, charming, and intimate patio. Thank you for allowing us to be part of this spectacular project."
