flooring contractor, hardwood floor
 + 0 moreI was extremely satisfied with their service and with the results. Their work ethic was good. Their customer service was good. They provided free resisters to make it look better. They were inexpensive. It was good quality work.
Description of Work: They came to my house and they refinished and repaired my hardwood floor for me.

 + -1 moreA few times Doug White was on time. Most of the time, he did not call when he told us he would call, or stop by when he said he would. White Lumber is overpriced and did a ''bait and switch'' on us. After my husband inspected each door and rejected them, Doug White offered to ''gladly bring a door to your home and have you inspect''. My husband had already done that and his offer was completely off the wall. He also stated that ''most homeowners wouldn't even noticed''. We have since re-ordered doors from Cox Interiors in Belleville who supply a far more superior door at almost half the price. White Lumber also refinished our wood floors and staircase. They did not keep the scheduled start date and completion time. It took 4 weeks as opposed to the 1 week quoted. I would not recommend Doug White Hardwood or Doug White Lumber to anyone.
Description of Work: White Lumber was to replace 12 solid fir wood doors with ''like kind and quality''. An estimate of $7,316.65 was given based on two catalogs from Woodharbor and a 50% deposit was given to White Lumber. Approx. 4 weeks later, we could not get a solid delivery date from White Lumber. I contacted Woodharbor directly. Woodharbor told me the doors were only quoted and never ordered. After contacting White Lumber again, we were given a delivery date to the stain shop. My husband met the delivery truck and inspected each door. The doors were not made by Woodharbor and were not solid wood, not even a solid wood core. The core was ''composite wood'' with a 1/64'' veneer overlay and solid fir wood jambs. The doors were a drastic change in ''like kind and quality''. We refused to accept delivery of the doors. Woodharbor was very cooperative and have made many calls to me being extremely helpful. As of now,we have not received a refund of our deposit from Doug White.
