Albert Norris

Albert Norris is not a licensed electrician in the city of Carbondale in Illinois. Nothing he did was to code, I later found out. He refused to give me an itemized bill and charged $800 to wire 5 smoke detectors and other electric work. Bare wires are hanging down in the closet and running through the wall behind the smoke detectors and not hooked into an electrical box, as it should be. The placement of the detectors are also in the wrong places and there are other violations as well. Instead of running the wires above the ceiling and behind the walls, he stapled them to the exposed beams--also not to code. He ran new wiring through a non working fluorescent light box and then told me about it afterward. One of the smoke detectors was defective and would randomly announce there was a fire at all times of the day and night when there was no fire. He refused to return or fix anything. Albert Norris is rude and surly. The Carbondale city code enforcer has threatened him with a fine, if these issues are not resolved. He doesn't seem too worried about it. Don't let this guy near your house or business. He is unscrupulous.
