QUALITY CRAFT

The quality of their work is undoubtedly high quality. We had a contract and had agreed upon an amount for the work that was to be done. However when the structural work was completed I was informed that since there was more labor involved than the contractor realized with the deck railing that he would have to charge me an additional $50 to apply the sealant finish that he had shown to me previously or skip this last step. I had assumed that this was included in the total price. After only about 10 minutes (while they were cleaning up), he informed me that I only had 2 minutes to decide and feeling very put on the spot I chose to go ahead and give him the extra money. He also did not reimburse me the $50 for the materials that I supplied as per the contract. I felt that this was an unethical business practice and I was truly disappointed because until the end I was very pleased with their work. Please note that I had offered to build all of the railings (I had already built one as a sample of what I wanted) and only asked for material costs without asking for reimbursement of the labor costs that he had already calculated in the original contract

The best deck guy I have ever worked with.

the jury is still out on this company. he tried to say it was my fault it got sealed, but, he said he would even seal it for free when he quoted the job prior to starting. I will not know how the deck will look until it gets stained in 2014. I had a top rail with some splits and they never came back to check it. they said it was not their fault; but Menard's who supplied the lumber to them!!!

Excellent workmanship, built exactly the way we wanted. Small patio under existing deck posed a slight issue. Mike explained he wanted the job done right, so he would have to jackhammer some holes in the patio to set some posts. I didn't have to, but since it wasn't Mike's fault, I agreed to a very small increase in the price to account for renting the jackhammer and labor. The project was done in a timely manner, considering the amount of rain in the last two weeks of April. Would consider hiring Mike for other projects and would highly recommend to others.

Mike brought a portfolio of his work on our first meeting. It was evident he was extremely experienced and knowledgeable. He dealt with the inspectors, got permits, sealed the deck, all in the most professional manner I've ever seen. He is meticulous and his work is beautiful. I highly recommend him.
