There was never any work done because the provider never returned the calls.

Great!  Very helpful and took care of the problem.  
I knew there was a skunk was living under my porch.  I tried to deal with it myself, using sealants, chemicals, and repellents.  I waited too long and the Mama had a surfeit of 6.  At the time that I called ANIMAL ENCOUNTERS, I didn't realize that there was more than one skunk.  But, it quickly became apparent that there was a bunch of them - and I should have called sooner.
They were making a terrible mess under my front porch, by the walkway next to the front door.  Not to mention the odor.  
ANIMAL ENCOUNTERS is a small, family run business.  They are excellent and very responsive.  They cannot always answer the phone but they always responded.  
It took 5 visits for them to take care of the situation.  The price wasn't cheap - but imagine a plumber coming to your house 5 times.  However, considering my alternatives, it was a good deal and I am very happy with the situation. 
My only regret is that I didn't call them sooner.  It would have been a lot cheaper.  
Highly recommend them.  

I spent $175 on the job. I had mice in my house. When the guy first came out, he was very nice and he spent a good deal of time explaining the situation to me. He set a little bag that the mice could eat. I was very concerned about the mice being hurt. He explained how it worked and helped me get through it. However, he told me that they were getting in through my oven, underneath my stove. He told me there was an area in the wall through which they were able to get in. He was going to come back in a week’s time and was going to put a screen over this hole. I needed to wait for seven days. I did that and I spoke with his wife, who had picked up the call. I made the appointment, but he never showed up. So, I called her again regarding the appointment. She told me that I had to remind her about the same. I was really perplexed by that and a little put off. He had not mentioned about this policy. I called later and left a message on his answering machine. I told him about my calls to his wife. He never called me back and he never showed up. I had a year warranty, but he never came back. The mice were gone and they have not come back since. The problem seems to have been resolved, but the hole was never covered. I thought it was highly unprofessional of him. I will never use this company again in the future.
