They came same day I called. Looked over furnaces and found the claimed broken part was not broken at all. The main problem was corrosion that needed to be cleaned out. Since he didn't have the time to clean it that day, he asked to come back the following day (today), clean all the corrosion off and see if he couldn't get the furnace running. And he did.
Oh yeah, and he didn't charge us for that initial visit! ZERO$$$
He did notice that the inducer was going bad. It was also two weeks past warranty, but Tom went to bat for us with York, who did the right thing by us and honored the warranty. We will be getting a new inducer in a couple days for the cost of labor only.
He also looked up our furnaces and found that the first company had only registered ONE of the two units. So one has a 10 year warranty, and the other only 5!!!! We shouldn't even be having any discussion about any part being just out of coverage on a barely five year old furnace, but we are thanks to first company. Plus, their bad treatment in misdiagnosing current problem and not being willing to fight for warranty coverage and telling us it would take WEEKS to get a part it should have only taken days to do, was all done with us being a paid member of their continued maintenance services!!!!
