Advocate Bath Inc

The plumbing work that is described in the Advocate Bath proposal failed the inspection by the City of Naperville plumbing inspector. Advocate Bath and the sub-contractor M.A.W.Contractors, Inc. failed to use the correct pipe diameter, for the primary water supply lines, reducing the water pressure throughout my home. Since both companies did not have Illinois Department of Public Health plumbing licenses, This work took two months to complete. I hired a IDPH licensed plumber ((Marquise Plumbing). On 31 OCT 2018 a joint meeting with the Naperville Building Department plumbing inspector and Marquise Plumbing took place, and a Correction Notice was issued listing the items that did not comply with the local building code. The water lines installed by Advocate Bath had to be removed and replaced to meet the local building code because they did not perform the necessary calculations to determine the correct diameter of the primary supply lines for my home. Also, all of the drain lines were improperly installed and assembled and had to be removed and reinstalled to meet the local building code.

There was a issue due to my old house having very out of plumb walls discovered during the installation. This required the standard glass shower surround be reordered and cut to fit. I was not charged extra for the custom sizing and the installation was completed within 2 weeks. The shower was temporarily "jury rigged" with the standard glass enclosure while waiting for the replacement glass so that my family could use it. All in all this was well beyond my expectations and I was extremely pleased with the company's handling of the issue.

This process was wonderful and the communication throughout couldn't have been better.
