On April 29, I visited Anderson Toyota on Perryville to look at a few cars I was interested in. They were pre-owned and I was hoping to take advantage of the 0% interest on pre-owned cars Anderson had offered in the newspaper. I was approached by sales consultant, Danny Miethke. I inquired about the 0% interest on pre-owned cars and he said he was not aware of such a promotion. He said it was most likely for new cars. I reiterated that it was featured in the newspaper and indicated it was for “pre-owned” vehicles. After pushing back, he relented and said he would check. In the interim, I told him I was there to look at three different cars from their website. I told him I was downsizing from a Jeep to a car as I wanted something more fuel efficient. With that, I drove a Nissan Sentra and a Buick and looked at a Toyota Camry and ultimately decided and told Danny, though I would appreciate a more fuel friendly vehicle, I couldn’t give up the space of an SUV. I drove a used RAV4 and loved it! I told Danny I would be interested in discussing this vehicle but, as it was used, I wasn’t taking it home that night as I wanted my own mechanic to look at it the next day. Danny tried to sway me away from using my mechanic and seemed a bit agitated that I would even bother with it but I pushed back and insisted I would be more comfortable in doing so. Though it was pre-owned, Danny said it was not eligible for the 0% financing but did not know why when I asked him. I was still interested and Danny did the numbers and came back with nothing I was willing to accept. I thanked him for his time and told him I felt I could do better elsewhere. Danny tried to push me back to the Buick, but I told him again that I really felt it was too confining and wanted the space of an SUV. To which Danny replied with an obvious tone of disdain, “Well, you came in here for a car.“ Again, I thanked him for his time. Danny retorted, verbatim, “Well now I will have to work double-time to feed my kids.” I was actually quite taken aback and didn’t say anything and upon walking outside, Danny was also walking out to move the RAV4 and at this time, I told him that I was offended by his remarks and tone and felt it was insulting and inappropriate. He mumbled an “I’m sorry” and carried on with his business.
Danny Miethke did a poor job as a sales consultant on so many levels, including the fact he was not aware of the 0% interest rate on used cars, was not aware of what vehicles qualified for the promo, had little knowledge on any of the cars I was interested in and did not show any ambition to provide me with the info or research your stock for something else for me. Danny was lackluster in his performance and was obviously just looking to make a “quick-sale” at my expense and was frustrated when it didn’t happen.

Will avoid using Anderson Toyota for service in the future.
We have a Toyota Highlander that developed a very loud rattle that seemed to be coming from the rear suspension. We even believed, and confirmed with others, that the culprit was the passenger side rear suspension. We decided this was a serious issue and took the car to Anderson’s for diagnosis and repair.
They had the car for a day and informed us that the noise was really from a loose heat shield over the muffler. Clearly the noise sounded much more substantial than a flimsy heat shield. No surprise to us when they replaced the heat shield and it did nothing to fix the rattle. Anderson Toyota still expected us to pay the full repair bill. It was a positive for them when, after negotiation, they agreed to payment for the part and not their labor.
We brought the car back a second time to the dealership, and I took one of their technicians for a ride to demonstrate the rattle. He stated he thought it was coming from the front of the car. He was the only person, of all those who we had ride in the
car to try to figure out what was going on, that felt the rattle was coming from the front. His suggestion was to replace the struts and also to perform a complete brake job on all four wheels. As evidenced by work of another repair shop, resolution of the problem did not require either of those procedures. They never did explain how they felt a brake job would fix a suspension rattle.
Needless to say we looked elsewhere for a repair shop and are happy to report we found one on Angie’s List with very high ratings and excellent reviews. The Highlander is once again a pleasure to drive.

Well as usual. This is my last no charge service but will continue taking my Rav4 and Camry to them.

While driving my truck through the lot the driver crashed into another vehicle. Anderson refused to replace the fender just wanted to pound it out. After arguing back and for along with several calls to the insurance company they agreed. However, that was not what they did. They lied.

Service was prompt and excellent. We have had all our Toyota cars serviced here, though not at this new location for 26 yrs from breaks to transmissions. Not the cheapest but always totally honest , excellent work, and good parts. The service managers are top notch.

When my car wouldn't start, I had to have emergency road service come out to jump it. The person I talked to in the Service Department at Toyota said it was probably the starter battery--not the big battery (I have a 2007 Prius). Once we got the car started, I drove it out to Toyota where they were very prompt on taking it in, checking it out, and letting me know the price of the battery and how long it would take to change it. The battery was not inexpensive, but it has a 2 year replacement guarantee and another 5 years which are prorated. The people that I have dealt with are all very friendly and professional and thorough in their explanations. I always take my car to them for work because I trust them to do a good job. This was the first time I have had the battery replaced.

The whole thing has just been a nice experience. They don't try to shove stuff on you. They ask you what you are looking for and what you're interested in. I went in at 10 in the morning and I drove home at about 3 o'clock in the afternoon with my new vehicle. It's the fourth vehicle I bought from them.

They said they wouldn't fix it under the extended warranty which upset me. They wanted to charge me $1300 so that's why I don't go to them.

They are very good with punctuality and are on time. They do follow up calls the next day to make sure your service is what you wanted it to be. They don't pressure to make decisions/sales.

They kiss my butt when I walk in. They give me free stuff to drink and all that stuff. If I go in on Saturdays, they hand wash my car for nothing.
