McGinty Bros., Inc. Professional Lawn and Tree Care was established in 1955 covering the entire Chicagoland area. We have been taking care of Chicagolands lawns and trees for over 60 years. McGinty Bros. Inc. is a family owned and operated business with over 60 employees proudly serving your community for many years. We try to treat our employees like family and we can proudly say many of our employees have been with us for over 20+ years. We also like to think our clients are part of the family as well, with some of our clients dating back to the 1960's still using our services. My crab tree would flower beautifully but then most of the leaves would dry out. This went on for a couple of years. I contacted McGinty for an evaluation and Adam Keppel quickly came to view the tree. He said that it had a fungus and would require three sprayings based upon the leaf and flower unfolding. Each spraying cost $90 - I did not price compare with other services. The treatments were done and now that the flowers have finished blooming, almost all of the leaves are still green and looking good. I am pleased with the service and the result.

Tree treatments were done in a timely manner.



However, I waited almost 4 months for the trees to be trimmed.  I had to call several times to ask them to come out and each time I got an excuse as to why they had not trimmed my trees yet.  They finally came out in the dead of winter, unannounced, and trimmed my trees.   They missed one bush but still billed me.  I called them and they did come out promptly and completed the work.



Since this work was completed they have sent me invoices twice for me to prepay for tree treatment for this fall.  No way I would ever prepay these guys for work, given how difficult it was to get them out to do the work.

"This again looks like another mistaken identity. McGinty Bros., Inc. does not have an (removed member name) or the property address as a client now or in the past. This is the second time in about a weeks time that this has happened with different complainants. There is another company with a somewhat similar name that works in our area. I dispute this claim as it was not McGinty Bros who did the work, please find out what info or invoices they have and let me know why this has happened twice now. Thank you"

The crew of three showed up on time. After I spoke with the person in charge and we discussed what the estimate covered. He and his crew went to work, very hard for the next six hours. They completed everything that was discussed. They cleaned up everything, all debris, in a very meticulous manor. The experience couldn't have gone better.

Very well they come in, do the job and leave. If there are other  problems they will notify me and let me know what can be done. We have had them for a number of years.They were able to solve a weed problem that difficult to deal with.

I called McGinty Brothers and Adam came out the next day and gave me an estimate.  The following week I was on the schedule and the job was completed.  I was pleased with their promptness as I needed to get this done before my pear tree flowered.  They did quality work.

We had someone else come out earlier with a quote that was less than McGinty's so we were not sure at that time exactly what we were going to do but the gentleman from McGinty was very nice and very punctual. I think that we just really left it there. His price was almost double the price of the other company that I had come out. I think that I could get a $40 or $60 discount from them because of Angie's List but still, they were more. The gentleman seemed knowledgeable of the different trees that we had. I was hoping to get the work done now but he said, then they would have to charge us more because we have an oak tree at the back and that needed to be done after the leaves fall off. He said that if anyone else told us to do it now, they would be telling us incorrectly. I am not a tree person so I do not know. It is hard to say if we would consider using them in the future because of the price but we will get another quote from them again.
