Len talked a good story but didn't deliver. We wanted sod, but he insisted that dethatching, adding dirt and seeding was all he needed to do. We should not have agreed! Six weeks later we have less grass than when he started, with no signs of any further new growth. The yard looks awful and we will have to have it sodded like we originally wanted. Len assumed no responsibility for the failed planting saying he couldn't be responsible for the quality of the dirt or seed that he used. The dirt was full of large (1" - 2" diameter) rocks and after all this time, there is little new grass, LOTS of weeds and more bare spots than we originally had. Six of the plants he installed looked dead when he put them in. He finally did replaced them and begrudgingly give us a partial refund of our money when we threatened legal action. I believe that Len Smith is dishonest, greedy and has a very poor work ethic. I would never refer him to anyone except maybe the Better Business Bureau!
