Description of Work: They manage 32 unit condo. Service has been inefficient for years. They are trying to improve now and unit owners hope they do.

Description of Work: Hillcrest is a property management firm that was hired to take some of the burden off of a volunteer Board of Directors by handling finances and homeowners requests for a 75 unit association. Responses to calls are almost non-existent and even if they call you, no action is taken because they treat the homeowners like nuisance callers. They fail in all categories of property management services and have taken this association from having a healthy bank account to being horribly in debt with few hopes of paying off the debt. They don't even attempt to be civil.

+ -1 moreHillcrest was our property management company for several years. We had three property managers over those years: Jerry, Alrick and Kathryn. Joel is the CEO--and sometimes, although rarely, he would intervene when we were having issues-- which was ALL the time. The cost of the managing is reasonable, and that is the only positive thing I have to say about Hillcrest. They do not return emails, they do not complete tasks, the providers they suggest are not good, it takes tons of follow up to get anything accomplished. Their property managers do not seem experienced- particularly with city dwellings- and drop the ball on every occasion. it is very very hard to find a good management company-- and mostly, they are not very good--but Hillcrest is particularly horrible and I would NEVER recommend them.
