Erickson Tuckpointing & Chimney Repair

It did not go at all!!!

Erickson rebuilt our chimney, which was in a sad state. We are extremely pleased with this company's service, communication, honesty, promptness, knowledge, and quality of workmanship. Did a great job of matching our old brick. And the price could not be beat. We would not hesitate to call upon Erickson for any masonry work we might need in the future. A positive experience, all around!  Note: The work was done almost 1 1/2 years ago: we simply forgot to post a review until now. 

Dan returned my call the day after I left a message. We arranged to have him come out on a Thursday to see the problem. He was on time (actually early) for the appointment. He explained what the process would be and why the original issue may have occured. I received a written estimate in the mail the following Monday. Because of the weather (very hot) it was about two months until he was able to install the ledge. We exchanged voice mails - he always returned my message the following day. I was surprised one evening to come home and find that the ledge was replaced and everything cleaned up. I would use this company again.

I had used this provider many years ago and when I found a need for tuckpointing service recenty (the grout on my chimney popped out when we had that little earthquake), decided to use them again (especially when I found them on Angies List). I received a call back promptly and scheduled an appointment to get an estimate. Dan came when he said and gave me a price. We agreed on when the work was to be done. Dan and his crew returned as scheduled and completed the work. They cleaned out any old material and then tuckpointed and caulked where needed. Good job.

great. all work performed exactly as stated, and they even cleaned up all the old brick pieces in the yard and swept up the remains.

Dan called on Weds to say he would be there later in the morning on Thurs to start the job. They showed up around 11 am and immediately began working removing the flower box holders and grinding the settlement cracks mortar away. They returned on Friday and finished the work.

As I sent out my requests for proposals, Dan was first on the scene and his estimate followed shortly thereafter. I wound up with 3 very similar estimates from 3 different companies, but Dan did something the others did not: he explained in detail the process he would use, the reasons for his price, and any variables that might affect the outcome of the project. We are very happy with the end result and would use them again.

They did the tuck pointing of her house and rebuilt the chimney that was falling down. They were really good and the owner responded really well. They made my elderly mother feel comfortable when they were getting the work done. They were clean-cut guys, cleaned up after they finished and took care of everything.

I was very satisfied with the experience. I solicited 4 bids to rebuild a severely damaged chimney and perform spot-work for the tuckpointing. Dan was the quickest to respond to my request and had a quote within a few days. It took a few weeks to have the work done due to the weather and existing schedule; they ended up coming out while I was on vacation. My wife told me they were very efficient and left the work site clean. After I got home I noticed a couple of spots that were missed and called Dan...they came out and made the repairs within a couple of days.

He was very reasonable in price and showed up when he said he was going to. He cleaned up and they didn't subcontract out. They spoke English which was very helpful.

I called about 10 phone numbers and only received responses from three people. All three provided quotes. Erickson was in the middle. What stood out was Dan's attitude. He is courteous and professional and was more than willing to entertain my endless questions. This was much appreciated as I know he is very busy. He even took the time to come back out with one of his guys (after providing quote) and show me what he was going to do and was happy to explain the processes and some basic info about brick structures. He understands customer service and won my confidence. The work was performed when he said it was going to be performed and the area was clean after each day and after the end of the job. He ended up replacing more bricks than quoted but did not stray from his estimate. I highly recommend Erickson because Dan is a genuine and trustworthy person and because they do good work.

We received a timely response to the initial call. A free estimate was given shortly thereafter. The work was of good quality. Initially there were some holes that were missed. However, they were happy to come out and complete the job.
