We got a great price on the tile and materials. The flooring subcontractor Century Tile Lombard used was excellent. The underlayment product was far superior to what had been there originally and was installed so well that it solved the floor vibration problem we had from a front load washing machine. We had two foyer steps that we wanted something more decorative than metal edging. They put in 3-1/2" wide oak on the edges of the steps to match the nearby existing oak flooring. One of the steps required a mitered corner and side. Very well done. I wish I could attach a photo.

We were not happy with them. They charged $200 to come out and do the measuring. The guy that came out had an attitude and he just didn't know what he was talking about.

They have a stock and were able to order anything else I needed. I was able to return unused tile without any hassle.

Went to Century Tile in Lombard and Naperville to select tiles/get advice. In Naperville, not much help was offered. I would walk in and look around and no one ever volunteered, "may I help you?" I had to always approach the sevice desk. So I went back to Lombard and received lots of asistance from a sales rep named George. Friendly & very helpful. The installation went smoothly, finished before Thanksgiving. Only glitch was the original sub-contractor who came out to measure, actually measured wrong and the tile installer could not finish on the day promised. But he was a pro. Even though he had another job scheduled, he finished my job without complaining at all. The tile is beautiful and it was installed well.

Everything from the measurement to the installation went well. The gentleman who came and laid the tile did an excellent job and suggested different ways to handle things; he was also very accommodating to our requests. The tile looks gorgeous and the price was extremely competitive.

Great place to go for ideas and selection. We purchased several types of tile and grout and love the way it looks in our remodeled house.

We attended Century Tile's free DIY class on laying tile and it was excellent. They have a professional tile setter come and teach the class which is about 90 minutes long. The teacher talks fast and he goes through everything so it's kind of tough to absorb everything he says, but it is super helpful. Class started on time and the teacher was funny. The stuff we learned totally came in handy when it came time to do our floors. Our DIY installation was a success. The sales staff was excellent as well, always friendly and eager to help. They helped us choose appropriate tile sizes and materials for our application, and helped us get the proper thinset, trowels, grout, etc. The grout they recommended was excellent, an Epoxy Grout that never needs sealing and won't stain or mildew, making maintenance a breeze. I wouldn't have known to choose this product without their assistance. Three cheers for Century Tile.

THE WRONG PRODUCT WAS ORDERED BECAUSE OF LACK OF KNOWLEDGE ON THE INITIAL SALESMAN''S PART. THE INSTALLER THEY RECOMMENDED WAS DIFFICULT TO WORK WITH AND DID NOT FINISH THE JOB.
