Ray has practically repainted the entire interior of my home over a nine month period. He also repaired dry wall after the installation of canned lighting. He is always professional, on time, and does a great job. I would recommend him for any of your painting needs!

Where to begin? Ray has truly been heaven sent! He came in on a Sunday to give us an estimate, told us it would take him about 3 weeks to be able to complete our project and despite us having the paint already (not his preference) he said he'd do it to help us out! Ray was able to fit us into his schedule within a few days and what should have been an easy project, became a lot bigger than expected but Ray was AWESOME! He is timely, efficient and SUPER professional! I'd recommend Ray a thousand times over and cannot wait for him to help us complete future projects in our home! Ray is DEFINITELY worth the wait!!!!

Fantastic!! Will hire again. Ray of Classic Design gave us our quote, did the work, was very professional, honest, and communicated great. We needed our entire powder room "gutted", move the lighting from the ceiling, new "walls" (we let friends use permanent marker and write whatever they wanted on the walls). He gave recommendations of what he'd do/would be cost economical (e.g. waterproof flooring over original tile, skim-coat vs. drywall). Throughout the project, he updated us and cleaned up before he left, asked for opinions on where we wanted things. If he needed to leave for parts he let us know. Price point was where we expected it to be and was well worth it. So happy and you'd never know what it looked like before. Amazing job well done!!

Everything was done well and quickly. We had several addons— drywall patching and matching old paint in some areas—all of it looks seamless.

We were in a rush to get this project done, and Ray responded to my inquiry by the next morning. I called him right away, and we agreed on a 9am visit to my house for an estimate. Ray showed up promptly, we discussed project scope, and within a couple days I had 3 quote options for tackling the work. He put us in the calendar right after his current job. The job started on the day he expected, and lasted the length he also expected. All in all, Ray was very up front, honest, and did nice work. He came up with a few suggestions during the project which shows his flexibility. He even credited the estimate after we decided our utility/furnace room door wouldn't need replacing. The project went very well. Ray recommended a specific type of paint product for application in our bedrooms and bathroom. I appreciate this, because not all paints work equally well. The paints look great on the walls and ceilings. Ray and his partner, Kyle, worked efficiently and thoroughly. They prep their areas completely, using tape, floor paper, and drop cloths. They work as a team to apply paint systematically, allowing for the second coat in timely fashion. When additional paint was needed, and when a change of color was clearly needed, Ray jumped on the purchase of additional paint and supplies. Ray and Kyle's willingness to add time to the final stage (bathroom) made a huge difference in the appearance of our final project. We're thankful for their saving us from a yellow undertone we didn't see.

I hired Classic Design to paint the interior of my townhouse before moving in as well as replacing some light fixtures in my bathrooms and kitchen. I could not be happier with the way everything turned out. Ray was extremely friendly and professional. He was also very flexible and accommodating to my crazy schedule at the time. Ray and his team did great work in a very timely manner. I would be happy to work with them again in the future.

Both of our projects were done seperately, and completed on-time. We are extremely happy with the outcome. Ray is very flexible with the scheduling, and a pleasure to deal with. There was a slight hiccup with the poly that was used to coat our cabinets (weird yellowing only in one small area), but Ray, being a man of his word, rectified the situation with outstanding service. Ray is as honest as they come, and we would HIGHLY RECOMMEND him.

This was a difficult job. Because this room is basically all glass, Ray had a to lay on a piece of plywood in order to do the top of it. He did a great job and his price was very fair. My only complaint would be because he is so busy and we've had so much rain, he had to reschedule several times and I had to nail him down. But, he promised me it would be done for Memorial Day weekend and it was! I have already referred him to a friend.

I did an extensive search to find a Painting Contractor for my investment property. I invest in approximately 10 properties annually and I have struggled to find a painter that provides a competitive price while providing the service and quality that I and others on Angie’s List expect. I feel very fortunate to have found Ray and Classic Design Painting & Home Repair. Communication, Quality of Work, Responsiveness, painting crew were all EXCEPTIONAL. I speak with considerable experience working with many contractors over the years, and I would not hesitate to strongly recommend Classic Design Painting & Home Report to my friends, family and others. I only wish I could find the Electrical and Plumbing equivalent of Classic Design. Ray and Classic Design will make your simple and challenging projects go flawlessly and leave you as a very satisfied customer.

After doing some research into current kitchen design, we decided against the backsplash and asked Ray if he could paint the family room (adjacent to the kitchen) instead. Ray was totally fine with that - he was very accommodating and patient. Ray did an excellent job with the repairs, painting and even cleaned the carpet in our family room and living room - the price was phenomenal. We will be calling Ray again for our next project.

Ray from Classic Design came out to quote both a small drywall repair project I needed and also to quote a complete interior paint job. Both quotes were reasonable and close to the other quotes I received. After selecting Classic design, Ray and his team were very flexible with my schedule. They came on time, moved everything out of the way, and got right to work. They kept to the schedule originally quoted (even with a wallpaper project I added at the end). I could not be happier with the job they did! Everything came out wonderfully. I would not hesitate to use Classic Design Painting & Home Repair again. Thanks Ray and the entire team!

The projects went very well, mainly because Ray paid attention to what paint products were best for the various surfaces. He contacted his paint supplier to get recommendations for special needs. Ray took down the shutters, about a dozen of them, and took them to his garage for painting. They turned out very well. Our home is 50 years old. Our front door has always been black, with some bad coats of paint. Ray patiently lightened the color the gray, painting in all the corners of the raised panels. It looks so much better. There was a glitch on paint color for the inside. Ray redid that surface with the correct paint, no problem. Looking back, I don't think there are many painters who'd have the patience to deal with the quirks of "this old house."

We had a hail storm come through and damage our aging aluminum siding. House is circa 1938. At first we were going to replace with vinyl but decided to see what was under it. Found out we had some wood siding in decent shape though it needed some repairs before painting. Ray was very responsive and helpful throughout the process and we are delighted with the results. So glad we did not put up vinyl siding and instead decided to get it repaired and repainted. Our neighbors have all commented on the excellent work Classic Design Painting did and how nice the house looks now. Very happy with the results. Can highly recommend Classic Design Painting.

We cannot begin to say enough good things about Ray and his crew who completed our projects. Well we started off just having him bid on painting the house, and now our list continues to grow and we keep finding more projects for Ray to complete for us, which of course he will continue to be our "go to guy". He is very reasonable, and a person we felt very comfortable with after meeting him to begin the work. Ray was not afraid to give us his thoughts on some things we wanted to complete and for that allowed us to make the proper decisions. The house looks amazing. We have had neighbors stop by giving us compliments on the work performed and one neighbor was asking "Hey can we have his information!"

When I first met Ray, I could tell I was dealing with a "good" person.   There was no BS, just a good estimate of what needed to be done.  The house needed some siding replaced and Ray recommended another company who also did outstanding work.  The painting job took about a week.  When I saw the work on the first day and how well they had cut in, I was convinced that these guys were good and that the house would look great.   A few days later, the house was mostly done.   There were a few rough spots where the cut-in was not ideal.  When I cam home from work the next day, all looked great!  Prior to the last day of painting, Ray asked for me to provide a punch list of items to clean up.  When I came home from work, all looked great!  I would hire Ray to do my next job....

I was really pleased with the services provided.  I called on a Thursday, got my estimate on Friday and the job was completed on Monday.  Ray, Kyle and Chris were extremely easy to work with and professional.  They did a great job. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I had attempted numerous times to remove some wallpaper border only to discover there was more underneath. I purchased a deal for wallpaper removal. Ray was on time and very professional. He got straight to work and after analyzing the situation, he informed me that the best way to do the job was to mud over it. So, off to his truck he went, got the supplies and back to work he went. I did have to pay extra as more time was needed to complete the job. I was very pleased with the outcome. I highly recommend him.

Contacted us immediately on our purchase of the Big Deal.  Set a mutually agreeable date, discussed the job and materials.  Arrive on time (actually a bit early -- we were still moving furniture) with his delightful and capable assistant (went out for coffee while we finished moving things).  Prepped the walls (incomplete:  this was a mututal decision.  Left some irregularities that we knew would be covered by wall hangings and artwork in order to complete the job on time and keep the cost near target).  Applied 2 coats of (customer-provided) high-grade paint.  
We had not realized, at the outset, that the square footage specified in the advertised Big Deal covered less than half the surface area of the room, and that there would be an additional cost.  However, Ray's revised estimate was well-motivated and documented, and was still an excellent price for the work.  The work was impeccable; nice attention to detail (with caveats as above:  left a few agreed-upon divots; gorgeous edging!); assiduous cleanup (dropcloths; vacuumed as needed) and we're very happy with the outcome.
We would not hesitate to call them again, or to recommend them highly.

I am 100% happy with all of the work done.  Ray was great about staying in communication with me throughout the process as I was often at work.  Everything was done with excellent quality and on time.  I especially appreciate the extras Ray did that he noticed needed to be done.  I will definitely hire Classic Design Painting and Home Repair in the future!!!
