Air Defense Spray Foam Installation

I had called several places. Before providing a quote, Jim asked to come out and see the site (at no cost) to discuss the project and provide an accurate quote. I had given square footage, but Air Defense was the only one that wanted to come out and see for themselves. He then gave me a very reasonable quote.
I didn't really get back to him for a few months, as I had other stuff I had to deal with before I could get to the insulation. He was very patient, and when I finally did get back to him, he stuck by the original quote without hesitation, and was very friendly and accommodating to schedule the installation.
When the day came, Jim and his crew were very careful with my house. Making sure to use plastic sheeting and tarps to cover anything that might get a mess on it, they went straight to work.  Everything went great!
After the install, I had time to experience the difference. Wow! It was more expensive than fiberglass, to be sure, but the difference was felt immediately. As the hot summer went on, the foam insulation made a huge difference!

Jim was very prompt, with both our estimate and job appointments. He explained the prep work needed and even followed through with a call to see if we were ready. I appreciated the effort they went through to make sure the foam stays contained and not all over our stuff. They cleaned up more than the mess they made and took all trash with them, which pleased me not to deal with it. I will update on the next arctic blast day we have to see difference it makes!

It went great. Our job was not a big one so they were able to fit us in after they completed another job in the morning. They were all courteous and confirmed all the areas to be sprayed before they began working. They laid down drop cloths to keep my floors clean and did an excellent job cleaning up when they were all done. I have no complaints and would gladly use Air Defense again.

Jim and his crew are awesome! When I first called, I was a bit hesitant that Jim would come all the way out to Northbrook from Lockport, but he assured me it wasn't an issue. He came out the next day to give us a quote and we easily scheduled our appointment a few days after that.
On the day of the service, Jim and his crew arrived roughly 20 minutes before the scheduled time. They got right to work and it took about 3 hours to complete everything. His crew tarped our entire garage to make sure that the spray foam didn't end up on anything but the ceiling. The team worked worked quickly and professionally.
We noticed an immediate change in the temperature in our master bedroom as well as the family room. The floor of the master bedroom was warm for the first time since we moved in 18 months ago. We also noticed an immediate change to the family room as well. Before the foam insulation, when walking into the family room we would notice a drastic increase/decrease in temperature depending on the time of year. For the first time in 18 months the family room was the same temperature as the rest of the house! We couldn't be more pleased.
We will most definitely be using Air Defense spray foam on other projects in our home! Can't wait to have them back!

Jim is very knowledgeable, professional, and reasonably priced. He came out a couple of times prior to the work and explained everything very thoroughly, and helped us understand why we had the cold spots we did. We were very impressed with his knowledge, and other companies we called either could not see us in a reasonable time frame or wouldn't service our area. He just did the work today, and we don't have drywall back up yet but we can already tell the difference. They were very punctual, and made sure the area was properly set up before doing the insulation, and then cleaned up when they were done. The spray foam works wonders, and I highly recommend it if you also have areas in your home that could use better insulation. Totally worth the money - I'm sure we will make it back on savings on our heating bill.

Remodeling my kitchen an needed some insulation. My house is a typical Chicago brick raised ranch with drywall an plaster right on the brick. Air Defense came in and gave me a very reasonable quote on spray foam insulation. It was so reasonable that I decided to do my whole attic. My kitchen was always very cold and when I asked them to check out the attic and see how it looked. He showed me that there was barely any insulation currently in there and that it was very old. They came in on a Sunday and did the kitchen and attic in one day. I was home and they explained the process the entire time. The Air Defense team was extremely knowledgable and very professional. I was extremely happy with the overall outcome. I will have them back when I decide to remodel my basement and very soon they will be doing my heated garage as well.
