The Screen Doctor

I recently posted a review about the screen doctor. Since then I have been in touch with him and he has rectified the situation.

The initial installation and correspondence was fine. Two days after the repair the spline came unattached to the door. I called so he can come and fix it and Mike said he would come out to repair it. However; three weeks later he has yet to come and repair the door, nor has he returned my calls, texts or emails. Clearly, he is unreliable and does not stand behind his work. If he is busy, no problem just have the courtesy and professionalism to call and make an appointment when he is available. I ended up calling another company to repair the door and had to pay another fee for their service.

Great job. Arrived on time. Did a good job replacing screen and adjusting rollers on screen door. High quality screen with good visibility.

Fantastic! Michael provided a quote that was very reasonable and was able to fix the broken screens and build a new one so quickly and they look amazing. I love the fact that he was able to get them done right on site in about a hour. I highly recommend him and would definitely use him again.

Screen Doctor showed up early due to a cancellation. Make had everything needed to replace the screens that he needed, and set to work promptly. Mike does more screens in a day than I will do in a lifetime, and that experience is obvious in the manner in which he diagnoses a problem and implements a solution. It is interesting to see his unique business model in action. The fact that he does the work at my home or property is a real bonus rather than trying to take my sliding screen door to a store somewhere.

Most of our window screens were damaged by a recent hail storm. Jim was responsive, on-time and did a great job. It was wonderful that he came to our house to do the work and took care of disposal of the damaged screens. For a slight extra charge, he even removed and reinstalled the screens. I highly recommend the Screen Doctor.

I had a truly outstanding experience with The Screen Doctor. Requesting a quote online to rescreen 12 window screens was easy and quick. Mike got back to me via email within an hour or two with an estimate and within minutes my work appointment was confirmed. Mike arrived on time on the appointed day. It was a rainy day, so he set up in the garage. He completed the rescreening of the 12 windows in a little over an hour. The screens looked like new and the garage showed no evidence of Mike having been there. If you are looking for quality screen repair work that is absolutely stress-free, The Screen Doctor is your answer.

The Screen Doctor is a great service and very convenient. Mike scheduled the appointment through e-mail, showed up on time and had the screens fixed in less than 30 minutes. I had him use the heavier duty material than the original Pella screens, and they look just as great and match perfectly. The fact that he comes to the house, removes the broken screens and fixes them on sight is really nice. Other service providers I contacted wanted me to take down the screens myself, drop them off, and pick them up a week later. If you have torn or broken screens you cannot beat this service.

Mike provided an estimate based on our job description via email.   He came out the first available time a week later.  The day he was to come at 3:00, he emailed to see if he could come earlier at 11:00 or 11:30.  He took out the remaining old screen and put in new pet screen.  The entire job took approximately 30 minutes and we were charged what he estimated.   Mike was very personable.

I would recommend his services to anyone like us who needs new screen but doesn't know how to get the screen door off the track.  We would definitely use him again.

Requested an estimate after e-mailing the sizes and received a response with the total within 30 minutes. Mike said he could do the work 2 days later at my residence which I accepted. He arrived 30 minutes prior to the appointment time. He set up in my garage, went right to work after removing the screens, and within 3 hours had reinstalled the screens and cleaned up the work area completely. Mike was friendly, courteous, and very professional and his work is fantastic. I would highly recommend Mike's service.

The entire process could not have gone better from beginning to end, I contacted them thru email after reading other angies list users reviews. The response to my email and questions was quick, I was able to get a date scheduled very quickly and at the time that worked for me. Mike showed up on time, explain what he was going to do and what it would cost me which I felt seemed fair for 15 windows. The weather that day wasn't the best but Mike did not complain and went to work removing and replacing all of the screens on the first floor.  He cleaned up after himself and reinstalled the screens without any problems at all. I am glad that I picked the screen doctor to work on all my windows and will be calling him back to do all of the second floor once the weather improves a little bit. I would highly recommend the screen doctor to anyone who needs any windows or doors rescreened in their home.

Process went great.  Doors look fantastic and the screen material is much more heavy duty than what came with my screen doors originally.  Price is a little high for the amount of time it takes to replace the screens, but overall the job was well done and worth it.

Went well, he was quick and did a good job.  I had a couple other screens that needed repair but they were stuck, so we opted to leave them until spring as they may need new frames and I didnt want to spend that extra money at this time.

It was all good. Their responsiveness and workmanship stood out to me.

He gave great advice and did a wonderful job in no time. Yes, I could have taken them all out myself, loaded them in my car, hauled them over to the hardware store (which had a 3 week backlog) and then reverse the process for literally a few dollars less per screen.  WELL worth those extra dollars to have it all done professionally, at my home, in 3 hours!! I highly recomend Mike!

We had two torn screens in a wooden outdoor screen room.  Screen Doctor came out and repaired them - the quality of the repair is awesome.  Screen Doctor was very responsive and professional.  The price seemed to be very high, relative to the time spent and cost of materials.
