I had used the company once before to move a desk, and the experience was fine. However, this move was terrible. First, they were to call me the day before delivering the armoire because, as they knew from the previous move of the table (and as we had discussed) I work during the day and would have to arrange to be home to receive the delivery. They did not call me until they were at my house. I told them I could not be home for about 1/2 an hour (I was at work) and they asked to reschedule the delivery, which we did. The armoire was on their truck for a couple of days and, I was told, was even moved from one truck to another. By the time it arrived, they had lost a bronze piece off of it. I was disappointed, since it is an antique, but I understood that things happen. I trusted that Terry would do the right thing and have a replacement bronze piece made. This is where the experience became terrible. Although Terry was always very jovial (albeit somewhat dismissive) on the phone, and although he spent two months telling me he was working on finding a replacement piece, nothing tangible ever resulted from our discussions. Furthermore, I always had to call or e-mail him; he never once initiated contact. As time went on I started to realize that my 3-month timeframe for filing a complaint with the ICC was running out while Terry continued to give me empty promises. Luckily, I filed a complaint with the ICC before the deadline. The ICC is now mediating a resolution.
