It did not go very well. My husband did the body work and they said they could just sand it over pretty easy. They did not clean the car and there is dirt underneath the paint. They also taped over the luggage rack  and left it on there when they clear coated that area. They also sanded it down too far and it ended up bubbling as well. The job turned out terribly and we complained about it to them. The guy said they could buff out the dirt but that would have removed the paint.They said this job should have cost $3,000.00 and we got what we paid for but they did not tell us this up front. We would never use them again.

I had some rust spots on the bottom lip of my trunk lid on my 2002 Volkswagen. I took it to Maaco and they gave me an estimate and explained what kind of work they would do. They said it could take 2-3 days, but that if I brought it on Thursday it could be ready by Saturday. It went pretty much exactly as they said. I brought it in Thursday. The gentleman at the shop kindly drove me to the train station so I could get to work; this saved me the cab fare. The car was indeed ready on Saturday. The paint job looks great--you can't tell where the rust was, or even where the old paint stops and the patch begins. My only quibble is that the adhesive they used in re-attaching the nameplate is a bit messy; you can see little bits of it globbing out between the letters. In general, however, I am very satisfied. The men who work there are a father and son team, and they were always very courteous and professional, not just with me but with the many people I saw them speak to while I was waiting for my car. It's a good shop and I'd use them again.
