Well designed and did high quality and neat work.

Weekly mowing was OK However, Lupe Landscaping send me a bill for $180 for taking care of my leaves in my yard. The included $50 to dispose of the leaves (which village of Woodridge does for free). They did that without consulting with me first! So not only did they do extra work I did not get a change to approve of in advance, I also got changed a lot for it. That is unreasonable.

It wen very well (as expected). Lupe was quick to respond and very efficient. We will use Lupe next fall too!

I called Lupe on his cell phone and left a voicemail message about getting an estimate; he called me back almost immediately and, after discussing the work I wanted to have performed, he asked me to text him my address so he could come by and look at our yard that week. That was fine because I would've had to take time off work during the day, and he wasn't sure of an exact time that he'd be in the area. Fortunately, he came by later that the evening when I was home, and I was able to walk our property and show him what I wanted done - he gave me an immediate estimate written on a sheet of notebook paper (which was OK; I was able to photocopy it on my printer). Other (larger, more and quot;professionaland quot; companies) took over a week to email me their typed-up estimates after they met with me in our yard, so it was fine with me to have the estimate immediately and and quot;on the spot.and quot;
His prices were fair (not a super-bargain but not the most expensive either), and he was up-front about his availability and how the rainy weather might delay the start of the job. I had a two-week window to get it all done before Father's Day weekend when my parents were coming to visit, and he reassured me that he could meet my deadline. After a couple phone calls to discuss timing (I also was scheduling planting of a larger tree by a nursery), we settled on a Wednesday for all the work to be done. It rained the day before, so I was almost sure it was going to call and tell me that the rain set him back - INSTEAD, I came home that rainy evening from work and found that his crew had gotten an early start IN THE RAIN and had already cut in the landscape beds and trimmed the bushes! Then, the showed up promptly the next morning, ready to plant the new plants/shrubs and spread the mulch.
His crew of 3 guys were very friendly and worked hard for the 3 hours they were here, even agreeing to trim an extra large branch that was hanging over my yard and dispose of the trimmings. They spread the mulch either by hand around all my plantings or with a rake and were careful around all the flowers too. Lupe showed up on the job toward the end to help them finish up, provided me with a printed invoice form, and accepted my check. I'm very pleased with their work and would use his company again. I'm also going to have Lupe give me a price to add a paver edge to our driveway since he also does hardscape work (he showed me some photos of his completed work on his iPhone). Lupe made sure I was happy and got the job done before my deadline. The yard looked great when they were done!

Lupe Landscaping had a scheduled appointment to meet with me at 6:00 pm.
By 6:30 pm, they had not arrived nor had they given me a call to say why they were delayed.
I called and left a message saying I did not want to hear from him and he should not ring my door bell even if he were a block away.
I know I might sound a bit severe, but I've been dealing with contractors for the past 2 weeks acting as a general contractor to my home that I will be renting effective July 01, 2014 and while overall, I've had good experiences some contractors appear to be smug about keeping their customers informed.
And, if the interview process starts wrong, one can imagine how the hired job would play out.
And, thank goodness for a webwsite like Angie's List that helps the consumer make informed decisions.

They did a lot of cleanup of leaves and other stuff for the winter. That is one thing they did, and in the spring, they did a lot of clean up and a lot of cutting of the bushes and then sometime late summer they built some landscaping walls around the front porch, all these were done at a reasonable cost and they were very nice to deal with. They did very high quality work at a minimum cost.

I called Lupe Landscaping on November 21. Lupe answered the phone himself and stopped by a half-hour later to give me an estimate. His price was quite reasonable so I hired him for the following Saturday. Lupe came Saturday morning with a helper and together they cleaned up all the leaves and debris in the yard. We live in an area where there are many trees so this is no small task. They also hauled away all the debris. The yard looks outstanding, and it was a pleasure to do business with Lupe.

From the start, Lupe never arrived when he said he was coming. I gave approval to proceed, but then waited longer than expected to start and complete the project. Asked for a quote to remove a tree, but never got a followup response. Half the trees are not looking good, and would not recommend them again.

Works mainly with his family including his wife. I got three different quotes but his was middle one but he seemed the most sincere and hard working. I watch he and his wife work and how precise their work is. THey all work very hard and did a lot to make it perfect. Very happy - the patio with different colored slate is beautiful!

He had a really good price. He did really good work. He did little extra without charging. He was very friendly and nice.

He told me he would come out to give me an estimate. I gave him the directions to my house and sent him a text message with the address and directions to the house. I waited around for him to come but he never showed up. He told me that he was on his way over and that he would be over between 12 and 2 and he never showed. It took me three attempts to get ahold of him to even call me back.

I contacted three Angie's list firms. One was too high and would take 30 days to start, one didn't propose after more than two weeks, and Lupe came in just right in price, availability and range of services. I was amazed by their punctuality, hard work, and coming back with more mulch to finish the job until dark.

We used Lupe last year for a smaller job last year and called the beginning of September to have him come out and give us an estimate on a bigger job for this fall. He came out the next day and started work the following week. Lupe and his crew worked for 2 days and did a great job. Very prompt. This is the second time we have used him and would highly recommend him. Last year we called several landscapers and he was the only one that followed through with an estimate and then completing the work. The other businesses either never showed up to give us estimates or just never called back. We were very pleased with the results and the yard and the side of our house looks great!

I called three different landscapers. He was the only one who answered the phone, said they would be out that day and then did show up. He gave me a good price. He came and said he could do it on a certain date. He did a very good job. He actually did a little more than we asked and didn't charge us for that.

They introduced us to the green house and also they installed it. It is like a nursery. They were easy to work with and very reliable. The prices were good. They were punctual and professional.

I thought they were good. The man was super-nice. Our communication was a little difficult, but he did communicate and correspond over e-mail, which was helpful when we couldn't connect in person. They are lower-budget landscapers. They don't have the computer software to show you what it will all look like. He did some sketches of the yard. They were fast and efficient.

This price was for the clean-up. For the mowing, he charges $60 per visit. His estimate was far lower than any other company. They did a great job with the clean-up and do great work weekly with the mowing. We will continue to use him in the future and would recommend them to others.
