We called Tom at Everlast Home Services and had a great experience working with him on this project.  We had already begun planning and had ordered cabinets from Home Depot before we met with him, but the contractor we were planning to use didn't work out.  When we met with Tom we told him we also were trying to save money where we could and he was very helpful in giving us advice on things like, how to do the tear out ourselves.  Because he has years of experience, he could also give us a lot of good recommendations on finishes, tile layout and other items for the project.  His price was very reasonable and he kept us involved through the whole process as to what he would do every day, additional materials that would be needed and we had full itemized costs.   Tom told us what time he would be in every day and was always on time, professional and meticulous in his work. and the work site was always cleaned up at end of day.  We had to re-order several cabinets and he came back on a Saturday to get them installed so we could get completely moved back in to our kitchen for the weekend.
Services he provided included, tear out of soffets, closet remodel, drywall, paint,  floor tile, install all appliances and plumbing, all cabinets installed with crown molding and trim.  He brought in some sub-contractors that were very good as well and he was always there working with them.
Tom and his crew did a fabulous job on our kitchen remodel and we couldn't be happier.
We highly recommend Everlast Home Service and will be using Tom again for future projects.

After I returned home I looked at the job he has done under the kitchen sink and he had used the old plastic plumbing that we had removed when we pulled out the sink.  Plus there were no new ¼ turn ball valves at all.  There were also no new ¼ turn ball valves used in the powder room.  Additionally, he said there were some supplies that he had to buy at the hardware store but that he could take four new flex hoses I bought in place of the materials charge.  My wife gave him permission to take the hoses.  As no ball valves had been used (except on the toilet which the flooring guy installed). I looked in the Home Depot and Menards bags.  I found only 4 out of the seven purchased in the Home Depot bag and 2 out of the 4 in the Menards bag.  This meant that five ball valves were also missing.  They were with the hoses they took.  They also left a mess downstairs and did not put back my sons workout equipment when they were done (which I had a hard time moving-he had since moved to Montana). I called Tom on 9/17/11 and said that I could see no ball valves and it looked like he had used the old plumbing.  He said 98% of the materials were new (which was an outright lie).  He said I needed too specify that new materials be used which I said I did.  I began to ask him about the ball valves at which point he hung up. This guy does substandard work, he reuses old materials to cut corners, I believe he took advantage of my wife as she would have no idea what to look for in a plumbing job (ie the use of all new materials), is questionable regarding his trustworthisness on top of which he does a sloppy job, does not clean up and does not stand behind his work.
