My dog was urinating blood and, being a Sunday, my regular vet was closed. This was one of two emergency vet services recommended. The other, though closer, charged nearly 50% more just to walk in the door. Thanks to reviews on Angie's and another site, I was steered here because the other clinic had a reputation for pushing services and hiking fees. At EVS, we were seen quickly and Dr Otto was the best. He used common sense and restraint, treated the problem, and gave clear instructions for follow up. He offered, but did not push, additional testing for my peace of mind. He indicated that this testing was likely premature and would be needed if my dog did not show improvement after her treatment for bladder infection was completed. My dogs visit records were faxed to my regular vet by morning. What more could I have asked for? They even gave me collection supplies to repeat urine test at end of treatment with my own vet. Top notch operation.

She always takes time with you and explained things thoroughly. I had a cat that had problems and she was able to help her out. She treats the animals well.

My 11 year old cat was recently diagnoised with Kidney disease. On a Saturday night she began drooling profusely and could not eat or drink. Eating and drinking are the main aspects of her treatment and so we took her to the emergency vet listed on our regular vet's information.
I called before hand to check the wait time and advised them of the situation my cat was in. The staff memeber that answered the phone asked a few questions about my cat's condition and asked that I bring any medication and reports I had available with me to help the vet treat her. Upon arrival I was politely greeted. After a few minutes they did an initial evaluation of my cat. The tech was very gentle and attentive to my girl and took a detailed history. Waited a few more minutes and the vet came in - Dr. Amy. She was very professional, reviewed the background for my cat and the information I had brought with me. They took some blood and the results came back in 10 minutes. Her levels had not changed since her last draw. After discussing possible problems and noting how important it is for my cat to be able to eat it was decided she needed some fluids, a shot to help with nausea and B12. The cost was reasonable for emergency service. I was also given some high calorie high moisture content food to help her be able to swallow it easier. Everything was explained to me. Dr. Amy answered all of my questions and also suggested I discuss some alternative treatment options with my regular vet. Dr. Amy informed me of the times she would be at the clinic over the next 36 hours incase I needed to call or bring her back. She was loving and careful with my ca
The initial consultation fee at this clinic might be more expensive than the regular vet but all of the other costs were similar or even less. I would not hesitate to take any of my animals there again if I needed to.
I was given copies of the report and results and they said they would fax a copies to my vet. The report was at my regular vets on Monday morning.

Great! Dr Smith took good care of my boy. He needed to have a tooth pulled, which I suspected might be the case. As usual, she did a terrific job. She has a good 'bedside manner' with my dogs, which is why I still try to bring them to her, even though this is an 'Emergency' clinic. I am extremely attached to my dogs and do have a tendency to be one of those anxious dog parents. Dr Smith is great with me too! I never worry about leaving any of my babies in her care.

One of my dog's eyes had been really bloodshot. I have taken another one of my dogs to Dr Vernot in the past and I felt both confident in her and comfortable with her. She was running a little late for our appointment, but I have never had to wait for her before, so I did not think it was a big deal. Dr Vernot is an eye specialist, and to me she seems good at her job. She is great with the dogs and with the parents too. She explains everything in a way that I can clearly understand. She did a thorough exam on my little guy and explained to me what was wrong. Before I left, she had written up all the information I would need to know what was going on with my boy and what I should do if there were any issues with him after we went home. She also has a great sense of humor.

The dog was bleeding from the mouth I could not find from where and could not stop it. It was a Saturday night my regular vets answering service suggested Blue Pearl (Not a great name for a vet) I took her in at 10:30, calling first and of course they said bring her right over. After checking her over they found nothing wrong and the bleeding had stopped. They gave a through exam with suggestions to make eating easier for her for a few days.
They were attentive and friendly.

Expensively horrendous! Many pet owners would have had their animal killed for not justifiable health reason. DO NOT USE LISLE VETERINARY EMERGENCY SERVICES, and drive only a mile NE to Arboretum View Emerency Clinic.
