Art came out, told us we needed a new refrigerator door. Unfortunately, we paid him $650 UPFRONT - stupid mistake. After several weeks, he came back out, installed a door that was the WRONG color and he left it without a secure handle - we used duck tape. He didn't tell us in advance that he had the wrong color and only acknowledged it after I pointed it out. He said it was "closest they had" in color. Unacceptable. We asked him to get the correct one. After several more months, we asked for our money back. He said he would check with the factory. He said they would not give us our money back. I explained that I paid him, not the factory. He said too bad. We got ripped off for $650. We have a door that is the wrong color and doesn't fit. We were patient - This all unfolded over 6 months. We gave him plenty of time to correct it and he did not. Once we were fed up, he would not return our money.

For the most part everything was great. Left message after business hours and he called back the next morning. Was given a heads up on the phone that the fix would probably cost $200. The only knock was he set up the appointment for 8am (which we needed that day for work commuting purposes) but he and didn't arrive until 8:45am. Took about 45 minutes to fix the problem and thankfully the fix was less than expected and only cost $75. Nice guy, maybe caught him on a bad morning? Would definitely give him another opportunity should we need any appliance assistance.

When I initially called, he answered the phone (not an answering service or voice mail) and made the appointment on the spot. He gave me a 2-hour window and showed up in the first half hour. My oven was fixed 45 minutes later. I will definitely use American Benchmark again. Art was very professional and is clearly an expert.

Service went as good as we could have expected. A part had to be ordered, but we expected this would probably be the case up front. The order was placed promptly so that the service rep could return a few days later to complete the repair. Everything was timely with no unexpected surprises. Our dishwasher is now working properly without any signs of leaking. We're happy.

No problems. I helped because the weight and size made reinstallation very awkward for one person but he probably would have known how to somehow manage it alone if he needed to.
Only job he's done for me, but he seemed to justify the high praise I saw in others' comments.
Called late Friday and got an early Saturday appointment, I believe due to the possibly hazardous condition created. Fuse was blown for half the kitchen and I could not correct it. He understood why and this was fixxed as well.

Since the work has been completed my washer is running fine. The dryer is still a little noisy when it runs but it all works.

Our wash machine was seriously out of balance. We called Art and he was there the next day when he said he would be. He made some adjustments and rebalanced the machine and it worked the way it should.

What an honest company. not only did he come out and assess the issue but he told us that it was likely covered by our warranty so he didnt want to do anything to invalidate that warranty. It ended up being covered by our warranty just like he said so we didnt pay a dime. Art also did not charge us for coming out. Talk about an example of a company you can trust... I will definitely be calling them with any future problems.

They are great. I have used them several times to fix various appliances. It's a small family run business. Generally I have dealt with the owner. The prices he quotes are fair and his trip charge is fair. He is very knowledgeable too. He is reliable.

Art came and replaced a 61.00 part. He was here approximately 30 min., and actually came earlier than he'd scheduled (he was in the area, and called first).
He was courteous and professional, got right to work, and changed the part. He gave us a year's warranty on parts and labor -- said he'd replace it free if we had any problem.
Note: The oven igniter actually failed on Thanksgiving, but we thought no one would have come out, so we didn't call around. Art told us we should have called him! Hopefully, we'll never have to, but it was nice to know he'd have come on a holiday.

I contacted several providers, and Art was the first to respond affirmatively. It's hard to find an LG service provider. He scheduled with me right away, and diagnosed the problem of the loud dryer within 30 minutes. Then we waited two weeks for parts from several places; the brand's fault, not his. He called to schedule promptly again and fixed the machine within an hour. Because I wasn't at home, my friend paid him. When I called Art to say I missed the 10% discount for Angie's List members, he agreed to send me a refund check. He is a pleasant person and was able to assure me that my machines are of the age and quality that merits keeping them going. Art made this process comforting and easy.

Came out the week before to see what the job involved, Day of install, arrived on time, very efficient, beautiful job installing and adjusting the bottom piece of trim to fit the new model. Very happy with the experience. Highly recommend!

Art is a true professional, and extremely knowledgeable about pretty much anything big appliance. The guy has 23 years under his belt and his knowledge base and efficiency in repairing appliances shows.
We had a noisy fan coming from the bottom of our freezer in our built-in kitchenaid, and it has been bugging us for 2 months now. Art came in, did a free inspection, didn't charge me for the visit and narrowed it down to one of two fans/motors. He brought both with him today on his visit to fix it and determined only one was needed, and had it done in under 20 minutes. He also did a courtesy inspection of my built in double oven and comforted me on the fact that a noise i was hearing is not a major issue.
A true professional and a very nice individual. Will definitely refer him to everyone I know that needs a great appliance repairman, and will look forward to trusting in his work in the future when these appliances break down again, and we all know they WILL break down again, it's inevitable.

Art came out the first time to inspect my washing machine. I had already talked to Whirlpool and knew they had a program to fix anything for $299. When Art came out and said it was the motherboard, he quoted a price well above the $299, so I said I would use the Whirlpool warranty. I expected to pay a service call fee or something, but he did not charge me anything.
The second time Art came to my house was to fix my freezer, which was not defrosting. He had to order parts and in the meantime, he had some health issues. He kept me as informed as he could and was able to fix the freezer within a week.
Art was very professional and courteous. I would definitely consider using him in the future.

Art arrived on time and spent almost an hour trying to fix our

"We made three attempts to contact you and after several attempts to try and secure the control for your dishwasher it became apparent that the we would spend more on the repair than what it was worth. We recommend that in the future you buy a different brand and that we have decided to discontnue repairing that brand of dishwasher. We apologize for your inconvenience and suggest that you call factory service since that seems to be the only way to obtain repair parts. Also due to the extremely heavy call volume and the decrease in technicians nationwide it is becoming more and more difficult to converse with people when they call, hence voice mail. Art was here on time. He checked it out and quickly figured out that the circuit board was broken. He didn't have the part with him but said he could get it quickly. He called within an hour of leaving and came back to put it in. He went above and beyond what I expected.

Working with American Benchmark was a very positive experience. They responded promptly to the voice message I left. They came on time as scheduled. The gentleman was very polite and friendly. After determining the problems with both appliances, he fixed the oven, but recommended replacing the dryer. We were very pleased with the work performed and thought we were charged a fair price. I would definitely recommend this company for anyone in need of appliance repair.

Dishwasher motor and pump went out on a kitchen aid dishwasher. Art showed up on time diagnosed the problem, he had to pick-up a new electric motor. Came back 2 days later and installed it. Works great. No complaints

We had an appointment for 8;00 and Art was right on time. It didn't take him very long to determine what the problem was and to fix it. He was very professional and friendly. I think the thing that impressed us the most was that he recognized that because of the water that remained in the washer we needed this problem taken care of sooner than later. That was not the case with 2 companies we called based on recommendations from Bosch corporation. One company couldn't come out for 10 days. I was very happy to find out it was just a "sock" issue and not a major issue with the washer which is only 5 years old. We will definately call American Benchmark again if we have any issues with any major appliance.
