It was not terribly well.  The staff were challenging at times but they were prompt.  They left the area not clean.  They were fine but we had a real problem with the subcontractor that they used for the floors.  We wouldn't use them again.

Came a bit early. Had three different men. I liked Vince from Blue Water plumbing best and I would ask for him in the future.

David was amazing and helped guide us through the process. I couldn't get to the store to sign the papers by the time he finishes work, so he stayed late despite the fact that it was snowing. He also has been in contact via email, and provided us with a clear understanding of how the process works and what steps we need to take.

I look forward to writing a positive review after the install as well.

Lowe's sub contracts the work out. Midwest Carpet actually did the work. The materials were sent weeks in advance, and so I had to find room in my studio apartment to accommodate 27 boxes of Pergo flooring plus three gigantic rolls or cork underlayment and baseboards and quarter rounds. They told me it would be a two day job. On day one, only one guy showed up. He ripped up approximately half of the carpeting in my place and called it a day, but never called me to tell me he was done. I showed up to my unlocked condo and had to call the company to see if he was done. I also had to find somewhere else to sleep that night because my place was in complete disarray, which I hadn't been informed of. The following day three guys showed up to finish the job. They asked to borrow my vacuum and left big smears of the cork glue on the floor. The baseboards are not cut and fitted as nicely as I would like, but this project went on and on for weeks and weeks, I just wanted it to be done! It's done, and all I can say, is that it's okay. My experience working with Lowe's for the most part is that they subcontract so much of their work out there's not alot of quality control. For example, when the delivery company they used to deliver the materials to my condo showed up, they wanted to leave it on the loading dock of my building. I called Lowe's and Rose, who was the only bright spot in this whole thing, spoke with them. After that the two guys changed their tune and brought the 27 boxes of Pergo to my place. I got a call a week later saying that they were going to be delivering three gigantic rolls of corks underlayment on that day in about an hour. I hadn't been informed of this, and had to rearrange my schedule to be there. Overall, it just seemed like there was a good deal of incompetence and the left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing.

It went well. For our project, they gave us a quote of close to $8000. It was good. There was nothing negative. They've had people work. They explained the process. It was a good experience. They are competitive with their services. I would recommend them to go out and get an estimate and see what Lowe's can do for them.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was fine. It is closest to my house. I will absolutely use them again if they offer again a gift card. The experience was good. It was fine, there was nothing outstanding but it was what I expected.

They were very professional and did a very good job. They were very timely. You know that they outsourced places but you don’t really get the names of who it is, who is doing it for you. But the people that they contract it with did an excellent job. I was really pleased with them. The windows were done by another set of people to whom they had out sourced it to and they too did a very good job. I made the mistake of going through Home Depot for my garage doors and for my entry doors. The garage door people were just fine but the entry door people I was not happy with at all. Ones the job was finally done it was fine but there were so many screw-ups during the course of trying to get it planned out. The gentle man who came to do it was not unpleasant, he was pleasant and he was professional but honestly I don’t think he had taken a bath for a very long time. He did not present himself well. There were so many mess-ups even before they got the door installed. I would never go through Home Depot again for getting work done. I go there all the time for shopping and pick up things but I would not do any work through them. I don’t trust with whom they go with. The only reason that I ended up going through Home Depot is because I got a little better price. I live in a townhouse so the owners' association is very specific about what styles you are allowed to choose basically it is a style or none. So I got a price quote from both and I ended up getting a better pricing in going to Home Depot. They were fine. Now I am sorry because the garage door people did a fine job and did it quickly. But the entry and kitchen door people I was not happy with them. Literally I will be afraid to go through them for any kind of work. I had a big living room window, it was a custom window and that was $1600 including the installation. My kitchen window was a little smaller and it was $200. The only room that is not carpeted in my house is my kitchen. The whole rest of the house is carpeted and I have 1300+ sq ft . That was about $4200. I had to have it done in three sections because you have pack up stuff and move it around and I could not do the whole house at once. So I did the downstairs and the stairs first and then broke down the upstairs in two jobs. It ended up being a little more expensive because you are talking about three installation fees and also took advantage of the installation fee sale. The staff at Lowe’s is wonderful, they are, they are helpful and professional. I have done a lot of work through them. I remodeled both my bathrooms. I had got my own handyman does it but I got all of my stuff from them. They were so helpful and professional about getting what I wanted. I really like that store a lot. Any work I have ever done was through them. I am in there at Lowe’s probably every week.

When the item was delivered, the box was opened. It had a dent in the back and it was unclear whether the floor model was given to us. Since we were unsure of the nature of the item, we had it returned. Lowe's stated that they normally open the boxes which seemed odd and we were not told this beforehand, so we asked for an unopened item in order that we would be assured that it was untampered. Lowe's satisfied our request.

I was VERY pleasantly surprised with Darin's customer service. He remembered everything my husband and I mentioned on our first visit to Lowes when he called to talk about what we wanted to order after the windows were measured. Darin gave us re-worked the quote a few times based on different requests that we had. He also honored a promotion that was ongoing while we were discussing the order but ended before we finally ordered. He was very proactive and thought to add certain things to the blinds (without additional charge) to enhance the look and child safety. Because of Darin's customer service, I would be happy to use Lowe's again! The price was also very competitive. The final cost for all of the window treatmens in the house (with installation) was less than the quotes that we recieved for only half of the windows in the past.

I had ordered a Frigidaire AC. I had measured prior to the order and it was quite adequate in size. The installer refused to install the unit, saying that it needed wings. Despite my reasoning, he absolutely refused to install the ac. I then purchased a Samsung AC. I had to wait another 3 weeks before all of this could be take care of. The same installer as before came to do the job. He took out my steel storm window and said that it was inch too long, but would not cut it down. The AC should be slanted slightly, but he did not install the unit the way that I had requested. He said that AC was made so that condensation and moisture was channeled to outside. Instead, the unit leaked the moisture into my home and ruined the plaster wall and carpeting. Lowes sent out different installer who drilled holes in the bottom so that it would not happen again. I have not had a problem since. I believe Lowes dropped the ball in this situation. When I would go to the store to advise them of the situation and damage, they just insisted that I was to talk to the installer. Lowes has sent people out to look at the damage, but has done nothing in the way of repairs.

We spent hours with the designer, then hours more watching her try to figure out how to use the computer to order our cabinets. It literally took her two hours and three managers to input our order. Their contractors for the cabinets were quite good. Their scheduling personnel were totally incompetent. They knew exactly when our cabinets were due to ship but didn't bother to call the installer until the last minute. We got to live with cabinets piled to the ceiling because they can't work a calendar. It is a testament to his flexibility that it was only an extra week. They flat out lied about when the counter top would be available. We were promised same day or next day after the cabinets were installed. That, of course, was totally unrealistic. They claim that I was told "three weeks." Had they told me three weeks, I would have canceled the project then and there. It takes at least a week to get a counter top: They don't do anything until the cabinets are installed, claiming that they can only measure after the cabinets are in place. (What, sometimes a 33" cabinet magically becomes 35" wide? I highly doubt that). After measurement, they take a couple of days to order the materials (hmm, I paid Lowe's July 15, but they didn't order the materials until a month later. Why?), more days to get it cut to size, and more days to get an installation scheduled. (Today, four days after measurement, their contractor STILL doesn't even have the counter top materials in stock.) If you complain, you will be told that this slack attitude toward schedules and deadlines is "standard industry practice." I complained locally and got nowhere. I complained to the national office and they knocked $300 off our $10,000 order. I would rather they instead do what they promised or at the very least, buck "industry standard practice" and demonstrate some logistical competence. We still don't have our counter top a month after they took our money, but the latest promise is "next week." We shall see.

I will never go back into Lowe's! Even the installers knew it wasn't the door I had ordered! The backroom was full of returned doors and windows! The punctuality of the installers was great! They were there when they said they would be, they just didn't have the right product to install! It was the ordering that was a nightmare!

Everything worked out pretty good as I can t think of one thing that went wrong with the entire job. They were here to install it on time and they were very personable. They made sure that I satisfied as they called me afterwards to check up on everything.

Cabinet Making
Two years old but have a lifetime warranty. The pantry ballooned out and all the shelves fell down. I have tried to get them to come out and fix it for 3 months now and they aren't responding. I initially contacted Lowes and they told me to contact to the builder. The builder told me I had to speak to Lowes and they would speak to the cabinet maker's area rep. I have not been able to get information or direct contact info for him. They make me go through them and still have not had any resolution to this. I was told the rep was training for two weeks and he'd respond in two weeks. I went out of town and a month later and they told me the same thing, he was in new cabinet training. I feel I am going around and around and am not be getting anywhere.

After assistance on several trips to store, final selections were made on replacement cabinets. Ana contacted vendor to make certain modifications on sizes could be accommodated, then placed order, making certain to add in all the "little" stuff owners don't immediately think about beyond style and stain. The order arrived at the warehouse when stated and "in-unit" delivery was coordinated. Although we added to the order later, those items were coordinated with the original delivery arrangements. When a problem arose with one cabinet, Ana immediately dealt with it--reorder and mail delivery. There was no hassle at all. Additionally, the delivery people followed up for an evaluation of their service.

The company is not totally honest. They took my $35 for the estimate, and then they never called to schedule the estimate so I called them back. Then they told me they had no fence installer, so I cancelled the check. Then they still billed me, even though I didn't use them for anything or receive services.
