Done Right Moving and Storage Inc

We have never worked with such an unprofessional moving company. Here are the major issues that arose when using Done Right: 1. Several major household items were broken and/or severely damaged. These include a large dining room buffet, two dining chairs, a living room chair and a large side table. We filled out paperwork for the broken buffet and dining chairs with the foreman for our move, and were then surprised to discover the missing parts of the chair and side table hidden after the moving crew left. We were told they would be contacted about the broken items. We weren't. After three weeks, we contacted them and they have still not gotten back to us except to tell us not to fix anything so that they could look at it again, if needed -  it's now been nearly two months and nothing else has happened.

2. Low level of professionalism on the part of the movers. Hiding the broken items, as noted above, is one example of this. In addition, the crew boxed six rolls of tape, which we were charged for. The crew also did not use packing paper for packaging any of our dishes and we lost many items because of this. They also often did not pack rooms together, as you might expect, which has substantially increased the amount of time it has taken for us to unpack (we are still in the process of unpacking, in fact). Most boxes contain a random assortment of items from different bedrooms, the living room and dining room. The only rooms that were packed together, the bathrooms, were not done in a sanitary way. All of our toiletries, for example, were packed with a used plunger and our toothbrushes were actually placed INSIDE the plunger.

3. Dishonest billing. Upon arriving at the condo we were moving out of, the foreman told us that an additional mover would be needed to expedite our move. This mover arrived an hour later, but we have been charged for four movers for the duration of our move and the move took two hours longer than what we were told to expect. The foreman had us settle the bill at 3:15 and at this point all of the movers were out in the van. We were surprised that, after settling the bill, the movers immediately left, since the bill indicated that they would work until 4.

4. Unresponsiveness. The company has done nothing to address the issues raised above!

They dropped a desk down thstairs and overcharged me 275.00

They were overall okay. There were some problems on the front end. I never received the contract, for which I ended up sending them an E-mail and calling them requesting for the contract. The people showed up without me receiving the contract. As it turned out, I was way ahead of them. They were delayed by many hours getting to the destination. They got lost along the way and failed to call me. If they had given me the contract, I could have booked them in advance and the inconvenience could have been avoided. The office was unresponsive when it came to providing me with the contract. I did not know what the contract said, which was a big issue. They should have verified with me about the schedule. Otherwise, they were fine at what they were doing. I think I paid around $1,300, but I am not sure. It was my second experience with them. They had damaged some of the things. I would not hire them again as I would be uncomfortable without receiving the contract beforehand.

We used the service on July 28, 2011. Despite the fact that we had pre-moving estimates, the foremen quoted us an outrageous extra fee of wrapping materials.  He came up with the last minute crate fees which were never disclosed or quoted.  Despite the charge extra 300 dollars of wrapping material, our furniture were badly damaged.  Among them are: a dresser, a Yamaha Piano, a front load washing machine and a medicine cabinet.  Furthermore, the customer service department denied all damages for insurance claim, saying our furniture is NOT wrapped.  In complete contrary to the fact they charged us three hundred dollars of wrapping material. Among them are six un-used tape left at our property and three unused boxed. All of them were charged full price. We cannot recommend this mover.    

They moved me from a studio to a one bedroom apt. I had so much staff that I collected before the move.They worked so hard moving it all down 18 floors to the truck and from the truck climbing the stairs to the first floor in my new apt.I felt so good. I really felt that they care about their customers. Also, they were not pushy with selling me packing products (Like the company that I had few years ago).The overall experience led me to recommend them to few friends that had the same good experience.

We loved this guys!! They are priced well and are very professional.

After calling several movers on the list, Done Right was recommended by her boyfriend. We spoke to them several times as we were trying to figure out what we wanted to do with all the items. Each time, they were very nice. Today, the move took place and they were efficient, neat, clean and very personable. Juan, the lead, was happy to do whatever we needed done. They happily made all 3 stops. Everything went smoothly. I would highly recommend them!

Movers came on time. I did a walk through with the foreman who was the only one of 5 guys to speak english When the movers were unloading the language barrier became an issue. Boxes from my bedroom were put in the basement and beds were placed in the wrong room. (Perhaps they did not tag items from the same room) It seemed to take longer than expected and there was significant down time.While moving in a fridge,a bookcase was kncked over and caused a divit in the piano,a buffet was moved without checking the drawers resulting in 5 crystal glasses broken (not replaceable) and several chipped plates. Many boxed items were left throughout the house. Other items were left such as a bookcase, a lamp, nightstand, misc items in the garage,and family room areas. (not sure why). After sending an email and not getting a response, I called the office after the holiday weekend to discuss the issues and left a message. I called a second time and was able to speak with Sharon. She had a truck pulling in with a 2 man crew that she was able to send over.(I had already made several trips between locations to move many items over the weekend) They did move the remaining bookcase,microwave,nightstand etc. Noone has called me about the damage to the piano or glasses and plates.The placement of boxes in the new location did not allow for easy access in unpacking. Oh-almost forgot that the salesman who came out asked my niece if she was married. I would not recommend this mover again. I hope I am contacted about the damage that occurred.

Overall, the experience was great. Everyone knows that moving can be a pain, but these guys made it easy. I was able to schedule about 2 weeks before the move, and this was during the end of August, which is a very busy time. I also needed 2 drop-off stops - my new house and storage. They were very accomodating, and although I still paid for the time, there was no extra charge for the extra stop. The guys were very attentive to the safety of my belongings and they worked very fast - this is key when you're paying by the hour. I didn't have very many precious or delicate items, which is the only reason I'm giving a "B" for quality (I might not have appreciated their speed if I had more delicate items). Although only the Foreman spoke English, I didn't have any trouble communicating with them about what needed to get done. Very professional, affordable and reliable. There is a charge for supplies, which is unknown until the end when they tally what they used. I was nervous about this, but in the end what I was charged - tape and furniture wrap - all seemed reasonable.
