A few weeks ago, we asked Charles Carpeting to provide an estimate on carpeting for our second floor. After he came to measure, Charles told us that he would call us the next day. We waited a few days, called to follow up and were told he would call the next day, but got no call back. Feeling like we had been blown off, we wrote a negative review about it. At that point we got a call, asking us to check our spam folder. We did, and the email was there the day after we called. We felt really bad, apologized, and removed the review. For over a week we traded emails, requesting a different pad recommended by the manufacturer, asking for clarification on some parts of the estimate, timeframes, financing, and such-things that were not mentioned in the contract. We were really excited about getting started on the project. Having never had a carpeting installed before that had a repeat pattern, we asked if Charles could call us to answer some questions regarding the installation. We were asked to email the questions, so we sent these questions: Since the carpeting has pattern repeat and color variations that look like subtle stripes, which direction will the carpeting be laid? How does the pattern repeat affect the installation? Since most of our rooms are larger than 12 feet wide, where will the seams be placed? Pretty innocuous, I’d say. Their response was to repeatedly express how professional they are and to answer the question and then at the end say they didn’t want to work with us because we had written the negative review and that we don’t trust them. Really? If they felt that way, that is fine, but to waste our time for more than a week and then, effectively, pull the rug out from under us (pun intended) is pretty small time and not particularly professional. Unless you have time to waste, stay away. And, frankly, if asking a few benign questions about an expensive carpet installation is not welcome, it does make me wonder what they have to hide.

He remodeled his basement, he was very please with his professionalism, pricing and service he provided.

Charles Carpets, came on the schedule day and it was just amazing afterwords. They were prompt and professional, removed all the old hardwood and replaced it and they were so clean. No damage was done. I have had bad experience with other contractors but not with CHARLES CARPETS. I absolutely recommend them to anyone that are in need of hardwood floors and other things as you can see in their website www.charlescarpets.com

He completed a three-day job in one day. He had a big crew that was well-coordinated, and they did a beautiful job. He did this before the large snowstorm we had. He was extraordinarily cordial during every step of the way.
