Next Painting

Excellent. Next Painting did a terrific job. Phillip and his folks did a high quality job and were professional and responsive. We will use them again and would highly recommend them to others.

I wanted a bedroom painted on short notice and I had used Next Painting before. He said he could get the job done in my timeframe. He and another worker painted solid for a day and repaired walls and painted the room and trim. He is very professional and neat - but a little pricey.

The quality of the finished product has exceeded our expectations - we are thrilled and would not hesitate to hire him again or recommend him to others. 

Phillip was very responsive during the initial estimate portion of our business together and his price was more reasonable than the other company we'd reached out to (FinnPro). He was prompt to arrive on the days of service and meticulous about the details - both the actual wall repair & painting, and also the measures to keep the home clean during the process. He and his team were very respectful throughout their time in our home..

Next Painting was very responsive to come out and give me an estimate.  Their estimate was higher than another painter so I decided at first to not use them but when I had problems with scheduling I went back to Next and Philip responded very quickly with a time to start the work.  He arrived on time and brought a big crew.  I liked the fact that he was there the whole time.  He was helpful and patient with color choices.  The work was very high quality and because they had a big crew they finished it in a timely manner.  They also did a good job cleaning up.  I would definitely recommend him.

I have hired him a number of times in the past. I wouldn't hire anyone else for painting! He is very honest. He cares about what it looks like at the end and I've found that most contractors really don't care. If he under estimates the time, he doesn't charge you for the extra time. His prices are all inclusive, including the paint. One time we were discussing via email a particular texture I wanted and he was very upfront and honest with me in saying he doesn't know how to do that. In the end, I agreed to have him do ragging. He did a little ragging and let me give him feedback. I told him exactly how I wanted it done and he absolutely didn't mind working with me. He is just awesome! He actually took some of the cost off since I didn't get what I originally thought I wanted, but I was very happy with the end product. He is really concerned with pleasing the customer and the quality of work. My neighbors have used him and have also been happy.

Phillip is great to work with-responsive, professional, careful and hard working. He got my entire project done in one week. I would definitely use him again. In fact, I have already recommended him to a couple friends.

Phillip was wonderful to work with. He returned e-mails and phone calls, was on time, kept to his quote.  He even allowed us to add to the job (and of course told us how much more it would cost).  It is a one bathroom home so it was very hard for us and he was reasonable about us continuing to use the bathroom when necessary.  He was careful to see that everthing was cleaned up when the crew was done and he stayed and worked with them.  His schedule will fill up so I recommed if you want to engage his company plan ahead a bit.

Phillip came out the day after some terrible painters (Premium Home Improvement) did a half-assed job. He gave me an estimate that was a little higher than I thought it would be, but he had to spend a lot of time sanding off the flecks of latex the other painters rolled onto the walls, and repairing cracks and popped studs. He spend 2 whole days and the place looks great now.

Thorough review of work I wanted done, prompt reply with estimate, stuck to estimate for payment,  took about two weeks (work schedule, weather factor) before work could be completed; required immediate payment - no problem.

We love Next Painting. We have a vintage condo in Hyde Park, and one of its "vintage" features is crown molding. The molding had been painted over and over and looked terrible. After trying for 3 weeks to strip it ourselves, Phillip (the owner) gave us an estimate. Even though his company normally would do the staining, too, we said that we wanted to stain it ourselves and he was fine with that. It took longer than he expected because there were so many layers of paint (about 100 years worth), but he didn't increase the price. We've had him do other wood stripping and painting. Our neighbors liked our job so much they asked for Phillip's number and hired him. We've hired him for 3 different jobs in the condo, and he's about to do one in our house.
We are having mold remediation done, and Phillip just came out to our place a second time to give a revised estimate for drywall repair because more of the wall was cut away than I had previously told him. I described how I want the room to look, and he's going to come a third time just to help me choose colors. So by the end of this job he will have come out at least 4 times, only one of which is to do actual work.
We won't even consider using a different painter as long as he's in business.

It could not have gone better.  They were punctual, trustworthy, honest, hardworking and service oriented.  They worked comfortably with other contractors in the house and were flexible with the start time.

I would use them again without doubt.

Philip is very professional and detail oriented. He fixed every drywall seam in the living room even though we only noticed 2 or 3 that were coming apart. When we noticed one seam that was missed, he showed up early to fix it himself. Overall a great experience and I have already recommended to friends.
