Xsport Fitness

After arriving at the Libertyville location, I presented the Google Offer on my phone, but they were more interested in having a customer manager talk me into signing up. I had noted that I was only there to try the 10 free days as they had promised on the phone, but they said that I would not be able to since I had been to the location before. A friend had let me come with him approximately 2 years ago (May 2011), and I was never a member of the establishment. I did not really understand why they would turn away a potential customer by not honoring what they had promised on the phone just a few hours earlier, but I think it would be quite a while until I pay another visit to this club.

There is a good variety of machines at the gym. The facility is pretty large, so even during peak hours you can usually find an elliptical or treadmill free, or you don't have to wait long for one to free up. The locker rooms and floor are always clean and don't smell bad despite there being lots of sweaty people there. There is also a large variety of weight machines and free weights.
I like this gym because it is so close to our house. The pool area seems nice but we haven't had a chance to use it yet. There is also a spa that is mediocre but the onsite tanning salon is convenient.
The basketball courts are usually free during the day but in the afternoon/evening people are playing games so you can't use them. The studio used for classes is a decent size and can be used for a mat workout when there isn't a class. I haven't taken any classes but when I do see a class in session they always seem over-full. I think it would be hard to get a spot in a class if you weren't already a regular. Women go in up to 30 minutes before class to and quot;claimand quot; a spot for the class with their towel and water bottle.
Overall they staff are all friendly. They are helpful when they can be. This gym is much better than our gym at work because it is larger and better staffed. It is open 24/7 every day which is great.
I would recommend this fitness center for anyone in the area.

The yearly membership itself is a little pricey (compared to the tiny gym at work which is free) - but it has a lot to offer so it seems worth it if you take advantage of all the different machines, classes, etc. Watch out for the salesmen signing you up though - they were extremely not clear. I thought we were signing up for a family membership with a certain total cost for a year membership and left happy, then after reading it more closely realized it was double the cost and the cost the guy quoted and we signed up for was per person not total. The salesman could have been much more clear but I'm sure that was his selling strategy.

The tanning packages are expensive, but the beds are brand new and in good condition. The spa services are pretty decent, and the menu is that of a regular full service spa. The training sessions are also a bit on the expensive side and the salesmen are pushy.

Overall though we are happy with this gym and will continue renewing our membership.

Trainer was excellent. Facility is very good - excellent equipment, availability of same, and variety.

I joined XSport Fitness at the end part of last year. I think it is twenty five dollars a month for a year, however they offer a plan where if you buy extra sessions then they give you a month for free per session. I like that the rate is very low. They are open twenty four hours, which is convenient. They have recently gone through some staff changes, which had made some of the quality drop, however they are very friendly. The machines are in good shape and they are good about maintaining everything. I have had a fantastic experience with the trainer. She is very knowledgeable and has a degree in fitness training. I have been very pleased with them.

I do have a membership there and I pay them yearly for it. It is a nice place to go to. I like the fact that you can either watch television or watch your kids while they are in the daycare. That is nice. They have a huge gym, a big pool, hot tub, cool tub, basketball court, fitting room, aerobics room, and a weight room for stretching and stuff. I am not sure if they have racket ball or not. It is a very good location with a little bit of privacy. I have been to a few classes and they do have a good instructor.
