I called him on 8/13/08 to steam clean my carpet and a couple of pieces of furniture, because of urine odor and stain, skunk odor, and persistent, resistant lice. I have 3 dogs, and they all shed, and I told him that my vacuum cleaner was in the work-shop because it was broken, and I had not been able to vacuum. I work FT, and am a single Mom, and unable to take off time from work to have this done, and he stated that he would do it on Saturday, 8/16/08, himself, b/c he had given his 2 employees the weekend off. Well, Saturday came, and he said that he would come between 11:30 and NOON, and at 12:30 I called him, and he said that his truck was in the shop, in Roselle, and that he had dropped it off on Friday, with the promise it would be fixed on Saturday by 10:00 AM. Well, it wasn't, and he had NOT brought my name, address, and phone number with him when he was dropped off in Roselle.(You'd think he'd bring it, b/c he was going to use THAT truck to clean my carpet and furniture.) I explained that I had planned things around his coming on Saturday, and he said that he would come on Sunday, at the same time. My daughter and I had plans for that day (church picnic), but we were unable to go, because he had not planned ahead. I asked to have some money off his original quote, and he took off $25. He arrived on Sunday 5 minutes early, explained what he was going to do, especially with the urine and skunk odors and the resistant lice. They took 3 hours, did not move ANY furniture except for the dining room chairs, and I paid him and they left. I then went and looked at their work, they had left a spray bottle of "upholstery cleaner" in the family room; there still was some dirt on the rug in the F.R., they did not put back ANY of the items that they had picked up off the floor to clean the carpet, and they did NOT vacuum or clean under my daughter's twin bed b/c everything that was under her bed, was not moved, and I could see dogs hair and dust. When Monday 8/18/08 came, the urine odor was back in the dining room; since he had put on an extra application of this when he was here on Sunday, he said to wait for 2-3 days to let it "soak in". Well, today is Wednesday, 3 days after he applied the "extra enzyme" and it still smells. I called him today regarding this, and the carpet under my daughter's bed. He said that the "hose of the vacuum and carpet cleaner only goes 3 feet under the bed" (when it wasn't even touched by him or his vacuum and steam cleaner) and that the urine odor was still present. He stated that he could send someone out to do another "enzyme treatment", but that it would cost me $45! When I told him of the hassle of switching days, not calling me when he knew he couldn't come on Saturday (he had a cell phone, and he could have called 411!) and that he was in Roselle, and couldn't come out, that I should have this extra urine odor cleaning FREE, he balked and said "I'm in a business, and I can't afford to do it free."
