Great Rooms did excellent work on our remodeling project.  They are very professional and thorough with all details.  The contract is very detailed, including start to finish date.  They actually finished a couple of days ahead of schedule.  They provided us a detailed schedule which included what was going to be done on each day of the project.  The kitchen was fully gutted and all first floor carpeting  replaced with hardwood;  all completed in less than 8 weeks.  Great Rooms provided an interior designer to help us choose the kitchen lay out, cabinets, tile, counters, appliances and paint colors.  The entire project went smoothly, all contractors provided quality workmanship, were  pleasant to have in our home, and always showed up on time.  When our project was complete a walk through  is done, and the few minor corrections noted were promptly taken care of.  Over the next couple of months  there were some minor touch ups that needed to be repaired (grout, cabinet door adjustments) and Great Rooms took care of all within a day or two of calling.   The estimate was not the cheapest of the 3 contractors we contacted, however the price after all the contractor bids came in was a little less than the estimate.  Great Rooms also provides an allowance for materials of good to excellent quality.  There were no add on price increases as the project went along, expect for the extras we added on as the project was underway.  This was our second remodeling project with Great Rooms and we were just as pleased this time and would use Great Rooms again.

GreatRooms is unprofessional and a disaster to work with. They were over budget and over time frame by a significant amount. They argued and fought us at every possible point. We had a contract in place and initially felt good about the relationship and project. The owner of the company turned out to be extremely difficult to work with (he is a yeller and a screamer) and has horrible customer relationship skills. They made the decision to not honor the contract and demanded final payment without complying with the contract or finishing the work. There are holes in our walls that they are refusing to fix, suggesting that we somehow made them (which is just ridiculous). We often found ourselves acting as the GC and coordinating the sub contractors. They also agrees to pass along "contractor pricing" on fixtures and such. This ended up being a lie. On numerous lights, fixture, etc, we were able to get much better pricing on the exact same items by walking into a supplier right off the street. I am severely disappointed in the relationship and would not recommend them to anyone.
