BECK'S CRS INC

We had one of the worst customer service experiences in recent years with Barry at Beck's. Canon lists Beck's as one of its authorized warranty and repair service centers and Beck's advertises itself as a fully authorized warranty center for Canon printers including the multi-function home Pixma models. On February 12th, 2014, I brought my Pixma MX922 printer in for warranty service after it stopped working and displayed an error code indicating service. My last contact with Beck's took place on April 9th and I was still without a functioning printer. What transpired over the course of 7 weeks was a nightmare. Granted, Canon dropped the ball on a few occasions, but Barry at Beck's was indifferent, rude and uncommunicative over the course of this matter where I had many conversations with him. Beck's seemed too lazy or uninterested in addressing my printer and the responsibility for facilitating repair fell on my shoulders. Finally, on April 9th - almost two months later - Barry at Beck's told me that he was tired of the matter and it wasn't his job to resolve the issues. I couldn't believe it. After nearly two months, he basically told me to go fly a kite and I was left with a malfunctioning printer that was neither properly fixed or replaced. Over this period, I had been in contact with Canon several times complaining about the matter and pushing them to help resolve the issue at both their end and at Beck's end. I had several case numbers assigned and had talked and communicated with several support people via email. After being blown off by Beck's on April 9th, I demanded to talk with a Canon supervisor who managed not only to send me a replacement print head, but a brand new boxed printer the very next day Somehow, this seemed beyond Beck's ability or desire to do. Bottom Line: It took too much of my time and effort to get this matter resolved and Beck's should not be in the business of representing itself as a Canon Pixma warranty center based on the way I was treated and handled. Even if Beck's was frustrating with Canon, they had no right to treat a customer in the manner I experienced. This type of work is obviously very low priority for Beck's and Canon said they would investigate the matter. Go anywhere else but here for printer repairs unless you think this type of service and support is reasonable.
