I had a kitchen sink that was backed-up. When Dan Cox arrived to do the repair, I expected, as did he, that all that would be required was rodding out the line. However, before rodding, he inspected the entire drain system and determined that I had a PVC-cast iron pipe junction where the cast iron was corroded. He believed that that junction was at least contributing to the problem and recommended replacing the corroded pipe section. He replaced the pipe section and, indeed, it was clogged with grease, etc. However, after testing the system, he determined that there was also additional cloggimg downstream of the replaced pipe, necessitating rodding. My point is that, rather than just assuming that the system needed rodding and performing the rodding, thereby charging me for a service that may or may not have solved the clogging problem, he did an inspection beforehand to determine the exact problem. He ended up both replacing the corroded pipe section and then rodding the pipe downstream of the formerly corroded pipe section. This, in my opinion, is exceptional service. Based on my experience with other plumbers in the past, none have ever made sure before providing a service that the service was actually necessary and, as a result, more trips were required to carry out the correct repair.

Dan came at the recommendation of a friend and I am glad I contacted him. When Dan came out to look at what I needed done he observed an issue with how my water softener was draining when it would regenerate, an issue with my sump pump drain line not being supported enough due to a long run to the high ceiling and a check valve issue for one of my ejector pumps. Each of these could lead to bigger issues and recommended I address them at the same time. After getting several estimates to replace two water heaters, shutoff valves for my humidifiers, and a pump that drains my bar sink in the basement I chose Dan to do the work. Dan was able to quickly schedule me and replaced the water heaters, drain pump, check valve, shutoff valves for my humidifiers and rerouted the line that drains out when the water softener regenerates and better supported the sump pump drain pipe. While working on the sump pump drain pipe he noticed that my battery backup, while appearing to work, was in fact not working. The pump was dead as was the battery. I am glad he discovered this before I had a flooded basement. Dan then arranged to come back the next day to replace my sump pump and battery backup system. All in all I was thrilled with the work Dan and his team did. They were very respectful of my home and left the work area cleaner than when they started. As a side benefit, I had a giant weight machine taking up a lot of space in the basement that the previous owner had left when we bought the house that I had no idea how I was going to to get rid of. I happened to comment on it to Dan when he here and he said he was interested in it for his family. I told him if they wanted it and were willing to take it apart and remove it themselves, they could have it. They came by that weekend and spent several hours taking it apart and removing it. They later sent me a video of it put back together and working. Saved me a big hassle and cleared up a lot of floor space in my basement (probably 40-50 sq ft). When they removed it they even cleaned up the floor all around it going so far as cleaning up unrelated pieces of things on the floor. Their focus on making sure things are clean before they leave shows the care they take when working in people's homes. if I ever need plumbing work in the future I will be calling Dan.

This is our second time using Dan to get a new water heater. Just like last time, Dan was very friendly, prompt and did an excellent job. He cleans up his workspace perfectly, takes the time to go over the controls for the new heater, and is easy to reach with any questions we may have. Absolute peace of mind for our new water heater.

Great! Called in the morning and Dan was able to come out that afternoon to look at the Hot Water Heater (HWH) and quickly identified the source of the water in our utility room. He came back the next day to remove/replace our 13 y.o. HWH. Dan removed the old, installed the new and replaced 3 valves without any mess to the finished basement. He also suggested moving the new HWH over a few feet to provide better access to everything in the utility room. He re-routed some pipes and the exhaust vent at no additional charge. The utility room was left looking better than when it was originally put together! I'm a very curious person and Dan answered all my questions. He even provided me with information on general water heater health and a technical bulletin on Aluminum Hydroxide. We also identified a couple of non-critical issues with some of the other pipes for me to keep an eye on. I will definitely call AHS Plumbing for future work.

EXCELLENT!!!! Do yourself a favor and hire Dan. He’s honest, professional, clean and hardworking. I saved myself thousands of dollars by working with him. Other companies told me I was going to have to do extensive work to repair my problem and Dan completed the work in less than 45 minutes. Do yourself a favor and hire Dan!!!! He’s the man!

Dan is exceptionally good. In the past he diagnosed and replaced our sewer line. He also has replaced our hot water heater and fixed a leaky pipe. Most recently he called us back right away on a Friday night to help diagnose a leak. He reviewed pictures and gave us advice. Highly recommend Dan as a professional and highly skilled plumber.

Dan at AHS was great! We’ve used his services several times and will definitely call on him again for future needs. He installed a water heater and did a cleaning of our hot water piping system. Dan also quickly fixed a malfunctioning toilet and inspected our sump pump.

On Friday, 1-19-18, I contacted Dan because there was water on the basement utility room floor around the water heater ejector pump well cover & the floor drain. While on the phone, Dan asked me to check a couple of things out to determine the waters origin. Based upon my answers, it was determined that the ejector pump had stopped functioning. Dan gave me a quote while on the phone for a new pump, check valve & labor. I approved the cost and we scheduled the repairs for the following Monday at 10 AM. Dan & his crew arrived a tad early, but that was no problem since I was home. Two hours later the repairs were completed with no additional costs. Since I had used Dan a couple of times before, I knew what to expect, a professional job, the work area left as neat as it was before the repairs, the defective parts hauled away and not a foot track anywhere on the tile or carpet due to the sloppy conditions outside. Dan & his crew are the essence of professionalism putting the customer first, price wise, efficiency,and honesty. Dan is a definite for future work & I already have another job in mind.

He had to build a little stand to lift up the hot water heater because I live in a condo unit. He also put in a pump, an alarm and braided water line from the heater to the refrigerator. He also did some work with the shower stall. He did a really good job. Paid a lot of attention to detail. He also made sure his work met code.

Went great! Excavation, replaced sewer pipe, back filled, and done in a day! I give the price a "B" as it seemed high but I really do not know what something like this costs and I didn't want to pay for a diagnosis. They did a great job, promptly, so that made it worth it considering the magnitude of our issue.

The work went exactly as Dan described it. He did exactly what he said he was going to do, at the exact time he said he would do it, and with the utmost in professionalism. When the work was complete, his crew cleaned everything up so well that it looked like they weren't even there. Dan is truly a man of his word and AHS Plumbing delivers outstanding customer service. It went fantastic. Dan came out on august 4th, to look the jobs over and give us an estimate. Since we had Dan perform other work previously, we knew his pricing was fair and there would be no surprises later on. We set up a schedule for the work to be done that following Wednesday, 8/9 at 8 AM. Wednesday came and Dan's crew was at my front door right at 8 AM. Good start. They came in and in a couple hours we had a new functioning sump pump and my house was left spotless. Unfortunately, Dan ran into a problem and couldn't make it to complete the other 2 projects. Since they were a non emergency, we scheduled the additional 2 jobs to be completed the following Friday, 8/11. Dan showed up on time as usual, you can set your watch by him. The 2 jobs were completed in a couple of hours. Again, our house was left without a trace that plumbers were in the house working. I could tell because my 3 projects were completed in a timely manner and at a reasonable price. Thank you Dan & crew for once again doing a great service. PS: I missed having Demetrius here, say "Hi" to him for us.

We've used them many times, and will continue to do so. So, we had our basement flooded completely, and they had to replaced all our mechanicals in the basement and Dan, who is the owner, came out and gave us a quote and was able to get the new water tank within a day, fully installed and good to go. Also made some recommendations on things we could potentially do to help with our situation should that kind of water issue happen again in our neighborhood. All in one day.

Perfect. Dan was at the house the next day to replace the leaking water heater without any problems. Dan had great suggestions in upgrading and increasing the size of the heater and did great work in removing and replacing the old one. I have used Dan in the past and he has never let us down.
