Our front porch balusters and handrails were rotting and the deck was warped. Dave redesigned the porch with bigger pillars and a balustrade that was brought up to code, used durable materials, primed the raw wood to endure any time before painting, and sealed all to last. His aesthetic choices were fantastic and our front entryway looks so beautiful. He also replaced a door on the side of the house, making it more finished-looking and secure. All work was done in a timely manner, as estimated, and everything was cleaned up before they left. I can't speak more highly of this experience. We whole-heartedly recommend Cryer Carpentry.

It took a long time due to permit confusion (2 different jobs on one item all at once) and the backlog of permit approvals at the Village. But I really liked Dave Cryer. He kept in touch through all the back and forth, met the budget and did excellent work. A genuinely good guy.
