About us

Dr. Durnin is the owner and second generation Chiropractic Physician with over 17 years of clinical experience. Presently serving as co-admitting staff at Olympia Fields Osteopathic Hospital,(Now St. James Olmypia Fields),for several years and writing many newspaper articles on wide ranges of neuromusculoskeletal pathologies and treatments, he is now in private practice serving the needs of south Chicago. He has been featured in many local newspapers for his extensive knowledge in neuromusculoskeletal disorders. He is a member: Phi Theta Kappa honorary fraternity, American Chiropractic Association, American Association of Spine Physicians, Illinois Chiropractic Society, Who's Who in America, Presidential Cabinet Member of the National Univerisity of Health Sciences and Board Certified in AMA Impairment Ratings, Medical Director Life extension Laser and a member of the Lansing Chamber of Commerce. Member of over 40 Qualified Credentialed Health Plans.

There was very little wait in the waiting room although there were a lot of patients.  The office staff was very friendly and courteous.  They were compassionate and concerned about my pain despite my grumpiness I exhibited due to my pain.  I was surprised and relieved that after the adjustment my headache went away.  I had been waiting days putting it off and taking aspirin just hoping it would go away.  I should have come in much earlier instead of waiting and dealing with the pain.  I do not live in the area so the doctor researched other National (NUHS) graduates in my area. I will definitely stop by this clinic when I'm in town to get a tune up by Dr. Durnin.. and catch up with the office staff.  The girls were so sweet.

I loved Dr Rickord. Awesome guy and he helped me. I'm not completely better, but I'm not as bad as I was either. However, The owner Tim Durnin is a snake. He knew there would eventually be a settlement. I spoke with Tim Durnin about it and he agreed to see me without payment up front. My attorney sent them a "promise to pay letter" but only because the owner personally had told me my attorney would try to get them to take only 1/3 of the charges and they would take that without expecting any more payment from me. He had told me they make the charges way more then usual when a settlement is involved because they know they only receive 1/3 of the bill. When my payout came this guy tried to make me pay over $11,000 for 3 months of treatment. I told my attorney what Durnin had said and when the attorney called the office, they wouldn't take anything less then $8,000. What  a rip-off!!! Buyer beware...if you have a settlement coming don't promise to pay them at all unless you can pay up front (prices are different for those paying cash up front) I asked the front desk how much it would cost if I was paying up front and was told $68 a treatment. I was being seen 3 times a week. It shouldn't have costed me over half of that $8,000, but because he could, he took advantage of me. I would never return to this clinic and advise anyone else who has a settlement involved and can't pay up front - stay away from here unless you want to be ripped off!

"This patient was explained in detail that we might have to right off 30% of her bill (per the lien act), not 70% since we wouldn't be in business for long. It is customary to reduce the bill by 30% by law and she took this as reducing it to 70%. I chalk this up to a simple mis-understanding and apologize for any confusion. She also signed the release of lien accepting the final settlement. To go back and write slanderous accusations might result in litigation against her. All she had to do was call our office and talk to me to iron things out but elected to slander our infallible reputation. She should be very grateful we didn't bill her for the rest of the amount due since it was only the compassion of our office that reduced her bill by the amount previously noted. Talk about ungrateful! No good deed goes unpunished! BTW: These protocols are all in accordance with the Illinois Lien Act!"
