Ted and team did an excellent job on my 3 bathrooms. All work was top notch, great quality. Ted set a clear timeline, estimated budget (which was better than others!) and overall did an outstanding job. I would recommend him and his team without hesitation.

We would never recommend the use of Ted Wanland ([email protected]) of Wanland Builders, Wanland Building Company, Inc. or Wanland Development Co, LLC. Ted was hired to construct our custom home in August of 2014. Expecting a hands on, easy to work with contractor, we were surprised to find the very opposite. The project severely lacked supervision by Ted, and as a result it took significantly longer to build our home than it should have. Almost every aspect of our home was not completed properly on the first attempt. From ducting to siding to painting (to name only a few), work had to be redone again and again resulting in multiple delays and additional costs to us. On more than one occasion we had to monitor the situation to make sure that Ted did not cut corners when attempting to rectify an issue. Attention to detail was almost nonexistent. Ted was rarely on property. By the end of the build, all professionalism by Mr. Wanland was lost. He would not return phone calls. He would storm off property. He would make demands for payment on items he had not yet completed. We finally moved in December of 2015. The 30 days for Punch List items dragged on and on. In August of 2016, while Ted was still working on the Punch List, we decided to get copies of the Certificate of Occupancy for our own records. It was then that we learned that Ted had actually only completed three of the required four final inspections, and he never applied for our Occupancy Certificate. Our village was more than understanding and imposed a small fine considering they could have charged Wanland Builders hundreds of dollars per day dating back to the day we moved into the home. Wanland Builders never paid the fine and shortly afterwards walked off the job never responding to us again. He does, however, still send his seasonal advertising flyers to us.  A further example of his lack of attention to detail.  If you are looking for a quality home builder, look elsewhere.

I'm using them again for a bathroom.  I obviously like them very much.  They are very easy to work with and they are true to the estimates.  The quality is great.
