They didn't charge me for that, but I think I also did an oil change at the same time.  They're honest guys, I like the guys there. They do their level best and charge a very reasonable price for it.

Went Great...........Gave me a quote and we agreed on the service then came back to me and saved me another 90+ dollars on the job. Work was done on time and looks like a great job. Welds look perfect and I am very happy.

Took vehicle in for a noise with the tires. Remington did a thorough check and found a problem with a wheel bearing. It was worn to the point of potentially breaking on the road. They were fast, very detailed and professional, and the price seemed reasonable.

After explaining to the Remington managers that the Honda dealer told me I only had 20% of my rear brake linings left and I needed to have them replaced, they did a brake inspection. Roger, one of the managers, personally inspected the brakes and told me to comeback in 10,000 miles for another brake check. He said the front and rear brakes were just fine. They also rotated my tires at no charge. I have been going to this shop for at least 30 years, first when they were located in Palatine, Il. I have never had any issues with their work, service, or pricing. This is the only repair shop that I know where one can take a car and ask that they check everything out and get a response that everything is fine - no charge. These are the most honest people that I know. This is the only place to take your car for repair.

I really have nothing bad to say about them. They are good guys. They are pretty reputable here. Their price and quality was good. Their responsiveness, punctuality and professionalism were perfect.

I initially this company an A from a July visit when I dealt with the other manager. Today was a total 180. This place is simply horrible. My wife went in yesterday to get the brakes fixed at an estimated cost of 217.00. They call 4 hours later and say all 4 tires need to be replaced today. My wife said, and quot;Can't it wait until later.and quot; Those tires are still under warranty and are 2 years old. They said and quot;Absolutely not, if you hit a pothole, the tires will blow out.and quot; They literally scared my wife to death. Then they said, Oh, it has to have an oil change and bearings. It will not function without.and quot; My wife said, and quot;only if it will not function without, but this does not sound right at all.and quot; They said, and quot;Well we already ordered the tires, at a super discount for you.and quot; But they won't be in until tomorrow but we have a great loaner car for you for free. I dropped my wife off to pick up the rental car yesterday and she came home with a very loud, very old car with the check engine light on! She called immediately and said she did not feel safe in this car, and they said not to worry that the check engine light is always on. The car died twice and was so loud you could here it coming down the street. Today, my wife called and said she did not want the tires change and she wanted to return the awful loaner car immediately. I would not let her use the loaner car at all. They said, we already ordered the tires and you said you wanted them so you have to buy them. They bullied her into them!!!!!!!! We requested the tires they took off the car back and to took them to the shop we got them from. The tires would have lasted months! When she picked up her car today they decided to char her for tire sensors that popped off when they put the tires on. So what was supposed to be 217.00 was 1,200.00. Not to mention, the unsafe car they gave her. If Angie's List lets us post pictures, I took several of this loaner car with the check engine light on and video of the noise. THEY ARE CON ARTISTS IN THE BIGGEST WAY Do not go there!

After a review regarding the engine check light, their computer said it was something with the and quot;evaporative emissions systemand quot;, which helps keep fuel vapors (hydrocarbons) from escaping. Turns out, all my hoses were fine and I just needed a new fuel cap. More importantly, they also took a look at my brakes and said that I really needed to have them done. He gave me a quote without asking, but without any hard sell. Just a quote with a suggestion that I get them done, by someone, soon. After his thourough check and simple repair of what caused the check engine light, I told them to go ahead and do the breaks (all 4 wheels, replacing both the brake rotors and the brake pads). His quote was for $630. He said it would be a couple hrs before he could be finished, and I said I would have to just wait till they were finished. He then offered a loaner car for me to use for those few hours, which I accepted. He called me a few hrs later and said the car was ready. Before I left, I called the volvo dealer who I've used to service my car for the last 7 yrs. I remember they quoted me for a brake job last year but couldn't recall the price, and I wanted to know what they would have charged me. I called the dealer, and their price was OVER DOUBLE the cost that Remington quoted. All in at Remington was $740, including the diagnostics, gas cap, taxes, and complete brake job. The Volvo dealer was $1500 for front and rear brakes (and I don't think that included taxes).
Overall they did a great job, was upfront with everything, and was much less expensive than the dealer (which I expected, but not that big of a difference).

They got me in the day I called. They kept the car for a 3 hours to complete the work.

They are very honest, have very good pricing and get the work done quickly. They hold their integrity pretty well. I am not pressured by them to buy services that I don’t need; on the contrary, if I tell them that I feel I need to change something on the car, they will check and advise me if I really need it or not. I would rate them highly.
