Muller Exteriors

Contract was signed APR-21 and was told the work would be done before JUN-21. They did not start until JUL-21. Several nail holes and caulked boards were not painted. They were supposed to come back to touch up the paint and scope additional work - this did not happen. Perhaps I was a difficult client expecting too much. I've had to hire additional contractors to finish the work.

The service was great. I think the guy did a wonderful job.

After trying other firms to identify the cause of an intermittent leak, we contacted Muller Exteriors who arrived quickly to provide an estimate. They took photos to show us exactly what was wrong with the roof. (Other firms claimed there was no issue with the roof. I wish I had called Muller Exteriors first!) The estimate was reasonable and they scheduled the work sooner than I had hoped. The roofing crew was efficient and friendly and polite when they had questions. The magnet run over the landscaping to pick up stray nails after the roofing was done was a great touch. There was no stray garbage after the tear off and new roof and gutters installed. The landscaping was not damaged. I was very pleased with the work and not a drip in the house during the weeks of heavy rain storms following the work completion.

The time to complete was fantastic. I had a small problem (one of my shingles blew off) which prompted me to quit stalling and get my roof replaced. David Jr. came out the same day I called, made a temporary repair for free, and had a fair quote in my hands that night. The entire job was completed inside one week, because they knew I had problems. This is an excellent company to work with, and I highly recommend them!

Muller Exteriors did an excellent job in replacing damaged decking and putting a new roof on an old garage that was leaking. They were efficient and thorough in the demo, install and clean up. The leak was repaired and the new roof is solid. I would hire again for sure!

They are wonderful, very professional. Got the job done in a very timely matter, and it looks amazing!

The prices were great, the service was done in the time promised and the site was clean at the end of the day. Dave went above and beyond in answering questions about the roof shingles that needed to be replaced. We also had 2 fantastic skylights put in, which look amazing and really brighten up the room! We highly recommend them to anyone needing roof, windows siding or gutter work. So nice to have a honest local source to perform this type of work and they do a great job!

Muller Exteriors did my neighbor's roof.  When our roof needed replacing (after 10.5 years), I decided against the company that had installed it (Peterson Roofing) as they told me the shingles were bad and I had to join a class action lawsuit against the shingle manufacturer.  Peterson also was crass enough to charge me $50 for the information.  Peterson Roofing is in my opinion a company with questionable and somewhat insulting customer service.  My neighbor recommended Muller so I gave them a call.

Dave at Muller Exteriors is a gentleman/business owner of high character.  He offered a very competitive price, worked with me on timing and also sizing the dumpster for the job (I had another project going at the same time and Dave saved me some $$$).

The work went as scheduled and I have no problem with the quality of work performed.  I own several other houses so I know a fair amount about house problems and maintenance.  The roof looks great, the crew was polite, punctual, and did a nice job cleaning up.  Dave never tried to oversell and when asked, gave honest opinions.  I have a quote from Dave for new windows and will be working with him on that project in the future. 

Here's another example of why you should consider Muller for your next home improvement job.  My Wife and I are in the process of selling another home as part of an estate liquidation.  Anyone who has been through this knows that it is an emotional task.  A couple of weeks ago, we had a reasonable offer and the Buyer scheduled a home inspection.  The inspection was full of issues most of which looked like BS to me but it did say the roof was bad.  We had found an invoice that suggested the roof was only 4 years old.  Knowing I needed some expertise fast, I called Muller on a Sunday afternoon and asked Dave to call me asap.  Dave returned my call that afternoon and met me at the house on Monday morning.  My guess is that the drive from his office to the house was at least 45 minutes.  Dave did this knowing ahead of time that the likelihood of us needing/buying a new roof for this house was low.  It turns out the house will need a new roof in the near future.  The invoice we had found was a quote, not a receipt.  Dave provided a very competitive quote for a new roof that we used to settle the bulk of the home inspection issues.  I sincerely hope that the new owners hire Muller when they decide to replace the roof.

Dave and Muller Exteriors get my highest and most sincere praise for quality, customer service and overall professionalism.  I wish all contractors were as easy to work with. 

Muller was recommended by our insurance agent. They were prompt in their responses to our questions and really worked with us as all the checks from the insurance company had to go to our mortgage company, who made us jump through approximately 1,000 hoops in paperwork and multiple inspections.

They coordinated with different teams, so they weren't stomping on each other's work.  The team was onsite on the days they promised, though sometimes a bit later than expected. The roof was done in just a little over a day, and the siding took about a week or so. The gutters were the last thing to go, and weather meant some delays and there was a bit of a delay due to not having high-enough equipment for our house. 

The team did a great job, and the owner and his son were available via email and phone for any questions or concerns. I'd recommend them to other people who need roofing and siding or gutters. 

THIS SIMPLE JOB (PART OF A LARGER JOB THAT INCLUDED ROOFING AND SIDING) WAS A GOOD EXAMPLE OF MULLER'S CAN-DO ATTITUDE. I'D HAD SEVERAL COMPANIES TELL ME I SHOULDN'T BOTHER PATCHING A HOLE THAT WOULD BE LEFT WHEN I HAD A DOWNSPOUT MOVED TO A NEW LOCATION. THEY SAID IT WOULD ALWAYS LEAK AND PROPOSED REPLACING THE ENTIRE RUN FOR $125 PLUS THE COST OF THE REPAIRS I NEEDED. MULLER DIDN'T SAY IT WOULDN'T LEAK, BUT SAID THE LOCATION WAS SUCH THAT THE VERY MINOR LEAKING THEY COULD ACCOMPLISH WITH A GOOD PATCH JOB WOULD BE TOLERABLE. HE WAS RIGHT - IT IS, AND THE PATCH IS HARDLY NOTICEABLE. I THINK THEY DID MISS ONE SPOT IN THE GUTTER THAT IS STILL LEAKING, SO IT WASN'T TOTALLY PERFECT, BUT ALL IN ALL A GOOD JOB.

MULLER EXTERIORS DID A FABULOUS JOB ON OUR SIDING PROJECT! THE NEW SOFFIT PERFECTLY MATCHES THE EXISTING AND WAS INSTALLED WELL. THEIR REAL CREATIVE TOUCH SHINES THROUGH, HOWEVER, IN THE PLACEMENT OF DECORATIVE CORBELS ALONG THE EAVE LINE OF THE HOUSE. EVEN THOUGH I HAD SELECTED THE CORBELS, THEY SUGGESTED THE ALUMINUM WRAPPING FOR A MAINTENANCE-FREE SOLUTION. MY ONLY CRITICISM IS THE SPECIFICITY OF COMMUNICATION BEFORE THE PROJECT BEGAN - REGARDING EXACTLY WHAT KIND OF TRIM BOARDS WOULD BE BEST, HOW THE CORBELS WERE GOING TO GET ORDERED - LOGISTIC SORTS OF ISSUES THAT ENDED UP BEING RESOLVED FINE, BUT MAINLY BECAUSE I BOUGHT THE MATERIALS AT MENARD'S AND HOME DEPOT AND HAD THEM READY WHEN THE JOB STARTED. HOWEVER, AS THE JOB WENT ON, (SEVERAL DAYS) BOB, WHO WAS HEADING UP THE SIDING JOB ON SITE, EVEN THOUGH IT HAD BEEN ARRANGED WITH DAVE MULLER, WAS VERY EASY TO WORK WITH AND TOOK MY REQUESTS IN STRIDE. THE QUALITY OF THEIR WORK IS EXCELLENT!

I HADN'T EXACTLY PLANNED ON HAVING A CEILING INSTALLED IN AN OUTDOOR SCREENED ROOM. THE EXPOSED RAFTERS WERE JUST FINE! HOWEVER, AFTER MULLER RE-ROOFED MY ENTIRE HOUSE, (AND THEY DID A GREAT JOB BY THE WAY) WE DISCOVERED AN OOPS! THE ROOFING NAILS WERE LONG ENOUGH THAT THEY CAME ALL THE WAY THROUGH THE SCREENED PORCH ROOF AND LOOKED AWFUL. IN ORDER TO COMPENSATE FOR THIS, MULLER INSTALLED THIS CEILING AND EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE DOING IT GRATIS AND HAD REALLY HOPED TO BE ON TO THEIR NEXT JOB BY THIS POINT, THEY DID A REALLY HIGH QUALITY JOB OF INSTALLATION. THEY QUICKLY SOLVED THE NAIL PROBLEM AND MADE ME COMFORTABLE HIRING THEM AGAIN FOR SOMETHING ELSE.

FANTASTIC ROOFING COMPANY TO WORK WITH! I WOULD HIRE THEM AGAIN WITHOUT QUESTION. OUR NEW ROOF LOOKS GREAT - GRANTED, IT HAS YET TO GO THROUGH A WINTER, BUT IT HAS GONE THROUGH SOME FAIRLY HEAVY RAINS WITH NO PROBLEMS. I REALLY LIKED DAVE MULLER'S CAN-DO ATTITUDE. EVEN THOUGH IT WASN'T IN THE SCOPE OF THE RE-ROOFING QUOTE, I RAN AN IDEA PAST HIM FOR A GABLE TO BE ADDED OVER OUR FRONT DOOR, AND HE TOLD ME EXACTLY HOW IT COULD BE ACCOMPLISHED BUT ASSURED ME THAT IT DIDN'T HAVE TO BE DONE IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE NEW ROOF WE WERE PUTTING ON - THAT NOT MUCH OF THE WORK WOULD BE 'UNDONE' IF WE DECIDED TO ADD THE GABLE LATER. HIS EMPLOYEES DELIVERED SHINGLE SAMPLES FOR ME TO CHOOSE FROM, WHICH I WAS ABLE TO KEEP FOR SEVERAL DAYS. HIS QUOTE ON THE RE-ROOF WAS THOROUGH AND DETAILED, SO I COULD EASILY COMPARE IT TO OTHERS. IT WAS THE SECOND-LOWEST QUOTE AND INCLUDED DISPOSAL. DAVE CAME ACROSS AS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT BEST PRACTICES IN ROOFING WHICH GAVE ME CONFIDENCE IN HIRING HIM.
