+ -1 moreThe price above is approximate labor cost for both bathrooms -- vanity, toilet, and tiling materials were extra. His quote was comparable to the other estimates, but he was slow to write it up. My initial impression of him was favorable, though, and his references checked out. The first bathroom took about two weeks to complete. The second bathroom took substantially longer with major delays due to the contractor's personal problems. Even though we didn't specifically request it, he fixed an old drywall repair. He also provided a couple of good suggestions on the layout of the floor tile. He made sure to protect the carpet and walls as he was hauling things out on demo-day. I didn't see any mess outside of the bathrooms except for a lot of dust in the garage where he was cutting.
Description of Work: Remodeled two small bathrooms. - - - BATH #1: - Repaired rotted sub-floor - Installed granite floor tile - - - BATH #2 - Installed ceramic floor tile - - - BOTH BATHS: - Replaced shower valve & trim - Installed cement board around tub - Installed ceramic tile around tub - Installed new vent fan in ceiling and vented to the roof through the attic - Installed new vanity, medicine cabinet, and toilet - Repaired drywall - Replaced floor trim - Painted walls, ceiling and trim
