Description of Work: We tried to purchase an adjustable bed and mattress from this store and it was the worst experience I have ever endured. You never talk to the same salesman twice, they all sound the same, all they need is a plaid jacket to completely fill the role as con men on Maxwell St. We were told that they had the bed and mattress in stock and it would be delivered the next day, so we purchased the beds. That night we received a call to advise us that they couldn't deliver the beds/mattresses because they weren't being made until the next Friday. I told they to cancel the sale and was told I couldn't because it was a special order. I called the credit card company and put a hold on the charge and advised it was a fraudulent sale. Eventually, I talked to a regional mgr. who said he would issue a credit the next day, after putting a major sales effort on me, reducing the price by $2,000! The further I went with this company the more turned off I became. When I went into the store the next afternoon to pickup the credit slip I talked to yet another person (that makes 5). He again put the big sales push on me and then showed me the store order sheet that had twice been stamped in red that it was a "special order" and there were no returns or credits.I mentioned the name of the regional manager I has spoken to who advised me that a credit would be issued . The sales man acknowledged the manager has called and finally issued the credit slip.NO NOT SHOP AT AMERICAN MATTRESS STORES, you will regret it!!

Description of Work: WE PURCHASED A QUEEN-SIZE SERTA WARM SUN PLUSH MATTRESS AND BOX SPRING.
