I kid you not, I called at least 10 roofing specialists that all said they were too busy to come out, or they wanted $300-$500 just to take a look. Obviously, they were playing the supply and demand game, and I wasn't buying it. Then I contacted All American via email through AL. Low and behold, they contacted me within an hour of my email to them letting me know I should expect a call from one of their employees, Matt Henson, and they included his bio/picture as well. When he did call, and was within an couple of hours of the email response, he let me know he was just finishing up a job and could come out that very same day. You could have knocked me down with a feather. He was at my place by 3 pm, was very professional, listened to my concerns and went right to work. He was able to identify some missing shingles and because I had some extras from previous work done, he said he could do the work that day.
When the work was finished, I asked him his professional opinion on the roof and he let me know that he thought there was another 5 years before I should be concerned about replacing the roof. He also ball parked the cost of a new roof, which I told him I wouldn't hold him too, but was interested for purposes of putting money aside to make sure we had it when it was needed for the project. He was a bit apologetic that he had to charge me $155 for the small amount of work that had to be done, but I reassured him the money was well spent in terms for peace of mind.
Overall, a very positive experience and we plan to use All American for future work, including the replacement of our roof. Kudos to Matt and the whole All American team!
