It took 20 minutes to do the work. They left the area clean.

The visit was fine. They know me, I know them by first name. They come twice a year plus when I need them. I have upstairs and downstairs heating and air conditioning. This time I had them check for a leak on the water heater, because the water was right next, between the hvac and the water heater and didn't know which one it came from so I had him figure it out. I've been using them for years because I like them. He hasn't done it yet, he says, you got a leak in the bottom of the tank, you need a new one. The inspection was free. I subscribe to his service twice a year, I pay $440, and they come and check my hvac twice a year. Plus if they have to come at night or on weekends, I get the regular rate be it night or weekend because I pay their subscription rate. They're honest and they tell the truth, and without fussing around or fooling around, they do decent work, and they come when they say they'll come, and on time. They're reliable.

I've had them since I moved into this house 7+ years ago.  They've taken good care of me & they come when I call them and I give them a good rating.  They check my system twice a year and they were late doing the heating season.  They were supposed to do it in October, miscommunication between the two of us.  Otherwise they're here, right johnny on the spot and as I said I give them a good review.  I pay a subscription fee for two visits a year plus instant on-call even on Sunday evening or during a Super Bowl.  The subscription gets me regular heating and air conditioning check ups and clean up and filters and all the other semi-annual junk you do as well as then ups me, since I'm a subscribing member, to be able to come anytime without an outrageous service call price.  That's what I buy for that money.  The guy that does the call is Nick or Vick, his boss, the owner.

Those guys are great. We've been very, very happy with them. We've been very pleased. They're really a good outfit. I had no problems with them at all. We bought two air conditioning units, two different times. One went out, and the other one went out, several different thing, and we've been happy every single time. We had one outfit, they said, "No you can't even get that any work. I can tell it's more expensive." We had another place, he said, "No you can't get that." We called Victor Olsen, he said, "Sure, how about next week? We'll get it in. We'll put it in." I told them I'm really happy with the work.

Great on time and work done

We have used V Olsen for years and have had a new furnace and air conditioner installed by them.
Our furnace was having issues and with the artic cold, called on a Sunday, received a call back within a few minutes  
Less than 2 hours later,  our furnace was repaired and we are signed up for maintenance in the spring.
I highly recommentd them!

We called around 7 AM and spoke to someone who said no one was available during the morning, but that he would call us back after noon and let us know when someone could come to our house. He never called back and when we called at 3 pm the same person had no recollection of having talked with us in the AM; he began asking all of the questions he had asked during the initial phone call, so apparently he had not recorded any information that he had previously asked. Evidently he was not concerned about getting our business and on top of that was quite rude during the second phone call.

Due to being low on freon last fall we had them come check our AC to make sure it would be running properly when we needed it. They said it was fine except for a capacitor that they replaced. They were about $40 higher than anyone else for just the check up and cleaning but we used them just because they were located close to our house. Less than two weeks later our AC was not working and all the freon was gone! We decided to call another company and they said we should call V Olsen back because they should warranty their work. We called V Olsen and after agruing with them they finally agreed to come check the system for free. They came out and checked the system and said their was a leak in the evaporator coil. They quoted us at 1000 dollars to fix it. Plus they charged us $84 for coming out and checking it even though on the phone they agreed to do it for free since they didn't find the problem two weeks earlier! The next company we called quoted us $615 so we went else where to get it fixed. V Olsen is over priced and they do not stand behind their work or their word.

I had 3 (Angies List) estimates done. All were professional. I ended up going with "All Temp Heating" and was very pleased with their work. They were able to complete the work a week after the estimate. They and another co. were much better priced, in a bad economy that's what I expected. "All Temp" price was $650 vs $925 (not a lot of sheet metal needed) and the Extra Option was $525 vs. $1250 (ouch!) ** My guess is that OLSON is swamped with AC installs that cost a lot more $$$$ and over-priced my quote, a common occurance in the booming companies. OVERALL THEY WERE GOOD PEOPLE! JUST OVERPRICED.

The technician called an hour ahead to announce a minor delay in his scheduled arrival. After assuring that the delay was acceptable he arrived at the modified time and went to work. In the past, equivalent service visits by other companies for similar costs have taken no more than an hour to complete. This service was different. In 2 hours and 20 minutes, the technician meticulously cleaned, tested, and inspected both systems. When a problem was found, it was corrected as part of the call. No additional parts were needed. At the end of the call, both units looked new, not just serviced. At the end of the visit, the technician gave a full concise easily understood report. He left both the work area and the house clean. This was a pleasant service experience.

On Saturday of Labor Day weekend my air condioner quit working. I contacted V. Olsen Heating, as they had done some repairs earlier in the Summer. Vic Olsen came out on Sunday morning to check the problem. He determined the blower motor on the furnace was bad(not related to the earlier repairs). Estimate to replace it was $600 to $700 and the part would have to be ordered. I questioned the expense to repair a 16 year old unit. Vic did advise me that the furnace was nearing the end of its life, and quoted me on a new system. At my request, he also included a price for the air conditioner. In my mind it made no sense to connect a 16 year old A/C unit to a new furnace, so I had everything replaced. Keeping in mind this was Sunday and Monday was a holiday, he had a crew at my house on Wednesday to begin the job. Work was completed on Thursday. After the work was complete, Vic even requested that he come back when both my wife and myself were home to go over the operation of the new system. It took about a week for us to both be home at the same time, but he did come back and go through everything with us.

Overall, it was a very good experience.

The serviceman (Steve) came at the scheduled time (he phoned before he started on the way). He was very personable and seemed to be very thorough with the cleaning and checking. He was the same serviceman who came approximately one and a half years ago in response to our furnace malfunctioning, and replaced the igniter (the furnace has been working fine since). I feel the company is very reputable; I also purchased a thermostat from them previously and installed it myself (with no sales-pitch from them to install it for me).

Olson's installed our furnace five years ago and we have been using them ever since for general service and once to redo duct work for my mother's house. Their work is excellent and we recommend them without reservation.
