Sean and Scott did a great job. Very meticulous in their prep and painting. We asked for recommendations on paint colors, and were very satisfied with the results.

Shawn Cook, the owner of ProFinish, kept in great contact with us. Their ladders, tools and our yard were cleaned up each evening. We appreciated the fact that they treated us and our property with respect. At the very start of our project, there were several days when rain meant that Shawn and his team wouldn't be able to work at our house, but he communicated with us every day. We always knew approximately what time they'd arrive and how long the entire job would take. One of our exterior wood columns was found to be completely rotted due to a long-term water leak. That meant the entire column needed to be rebuilt after the men located the cause of the leak. Great care and attention to detail was shown in completing this repair. My husband and I were very impressed that Shawn went the extra mile to make sure that all areas that had rotted wood were repaired correctly before being painted... we are confident that will greatly reduce the chance of problems and expensive repairs in the future. We are highly satisfied with the work that ProFinish did and impressed with the high level of professionalism and expertise of Shawn Cook and his team.

Sean and his crew removed a lot of wall paper. He re-papered my kitchen, upstairs bath and powder room. The rest of the rooms I had them paint. They do an excellent job of prep work before painting or papering. You would never know by looking at the walls in the dining room, my bedroom and my bath that I had had wall paper on them. They got it all off without damaging the walls. Sean is an expert at wall papering. He is meticulous and doesn't rush through the job.
In fact, I am in the process of contacting him to arrange for him to repaint a couple of rooms and the hallways. It's time for a color change.

I had used Profinish twice before (in 1998 and once before that for exterior painting and then I used them again in 2002 for window trim painting when the window were replaced). They were very professional, made sure all the surface wood was properly prepared and did an excellent job of cleaning up. I used a different (and cheaper) painter in 2006. No prep work was done. One person basically came and slopped paint on the house (and roof). When it was time to get the house painted again, I was glad to find that Shawn was back in business. He came out within two days of calling to do the estimate. He put us on his schedule in May for August 6 and called us to let us know ahead of time that he was running about a week late. He started on August 13, spent one day on power washing and then had himself and a 3 man crew working on the prep for the next week. They replaced some cedar board, some of the framing around the car garage doors, did fill and priming of some of the other siding and redid all of the caulk. The painting took about 2 and 1/2 days and while, they didn't paint the house trim, they did redo the entry railings and did all of the two story, 3 car garage siding and trim. I gave Shawn a B on punctuality because it did take a little longer than estimated and started a little later. He got a B on price, but I do believe you get what you pay for, and since I didn't get any other estimates, I only have my previous poor job to compare Shawn's prices. The repair was a bigger job than estimated, yet Shawn only asked for an additional $250 to cover the materials that we didn't have. This was more that fair. I am very satisfied and will definitely use him again.

Overall, Profinish Painters did an excellent, professional job for us twice.
