Lake Villa GE Repair

All began well. We called on a Wednesday to schedule a visit. The technician came on Thursday and diagnosed the issue. He stated that he could get the part for the next day, but it would cost more than if we waited a week to get it from a different supplier. We opted for the next day fix at the higher price. The tech called the next day and said his supplier's inventory was wrong, and that he would not have the part until Monday. He scheduled a Monday afternoon time for the repair. At the scheduled time he was not here. We called the office and the woman who answered the phone said we would have to call the tech directly, and gave us his phone number. The tech's phone went to voice mail, which he did not return. We called the office again. The woman assured us she would keep trying to contact the tech and would let us know by 6:30 that evening what was going on. We never heard from her. The next day (Tuesday) we called the office in the morning. A different woman answered and was not aware of the issues to that time. Upon updating her we also stated that we would not pay the higher next day repair rate, as it was now several days past that time frame. She was able to get the tech to contact us. He stated that he was on the way to pick up the part and would be there in the afternoon. When he arrived a discussion was held regarding the cost of the repair. He did agree to the lower price and proceeded to fix the dishwasher. It has been working well since the repair. On top of all of that, the company name is not real, and I suspect the address is not real either. The name on the invoice for the repair is different, and the is no address on it. I am not sure where the company is located, but I doubt it is in Lake Villa. While the machine does work, I would not hire this company again.

The service was covered under warranty and so there was no charge. They are very good. They're very well versed in GE appliances. I will keep using them as long as I'm covered under warranty.
