Eddy's Tree Service

My next door neighbor used Eddy's to remove a couple trees, one of which was near our property line. The worker in the bucket dropped limbs recklessly on several small trees, breaking branches, which will expose them to disease and possibly kill them. The workers on the ground piled up the logs on our property (never asking permission), on top of - and destroying - a dozen ferns and assorted plants, bushes and flowers. When I discovered this and told them to move them, they laughed, indicating that they didn't speak English, before doing so. My wife called the phone number for the business, left a message and received no response. I called the next day, Eddy answered, I explained the situation and he said he would come out the next day to check out the damage. He never came and our subsequent calls went unanswered. The work they did left the entire surrounding area destroyed. There are many Tree Removal Service Companies. These guys are Unprofessional Hacks!

Pretty punctual from the beginning of the first time we got our estimate. Was hesistant because I have a tree right next to the electrical cables. That’s why I’m glad they are insured which was my main thing I was looking for. They got the job done and everything done in 1 day. I had 3 big trees to fully cut down to the stump as well. 2 other trees to trim of and another stump I had left over. Amazing guys. Great service. Was more than satisfied with the results.

No work was ever performed because he never showed up to even give me a quote.

Quick response for a quote. Did an excellent job. They were done in a couple of hours. Ground up the stump and roots. Cleaned up the yard of all of the branches and mess.

We have used Eddy's Tree Service twice and they are always VERY safety conscious, which was very important when the tree limbs were over my neighbor's house near their dining room windows.

I recently bought property in the Venetian Village subdivision of Lake Villa, IL. On it were seven trees that needed to be removed--four dead, two mostly dead, and one 40-in diameter tree very near the house that was leaning over the roof. All of the trees were mature ones and quite tall. Eddy and his crew made it look easy, but I know it wasn't, especially the one so close to the house. Their teamwork was impressive. Excellent clean-up afterward. This is a service company I can definitely recommend.

Eddy came out and was great and gave us a reasonable quote. When I called to schedule, I spoke to his wife twice, left two messages and emailed him. He has never bothered to call back. I guess he doesn't need the business.

Eddy arrived at 7:00 am and began to work. They were very careful of hinging wires and cables as well as existing structures. All work was done in three and half hours. They cleaned up all small branches and sawdust before leaving. Overall Eddy and his crew were fantastic and I would hire them again. Gary Giles

The job went excellent! Eddy's Tree Service gave me an acceptable quote on Monday and were back on Tuesday (as promised) to do the job promptly before the storms arrived. Highly recommended!

EXCELLENT! Eddy responded promptly to questions and providing a quote. A crew arrived on time as promised to cut down the tree. They expertly felled the tree, cut it up, ground it all into the truck and cleaned up in about 30 minutes. They even moved the truck to be sure the street under the work was cleaned. Shortly after, the stumper arrived with an expert operator. The stump was ground up and the earth softened. Again, the yard and work area were thoroughly cleaned of debris. Great job done very professionally. Thanks Eddy.

Great! We hired Eddy's because Wayne the estimator had worked with our neighbors and also worked with the previous owners of our house (we are new homeowners). Wayne was amazing! We knew we were in good hands when he was able to recall when the owners had planted our mature trees. Wayne's experience and expertise really shine. He was so personable and answered our many questions. Wayne was very honest about what needed immediate attention and what could wait. I thought his pricing was very fair but I didn't bother looking elsewhere to get any other estimates because I was so impressed by Wayne and his knowledge of trees/plants and our specific property. After the estimate Wayne stopped by with Eddy to explain to him what needed to be done so that the day of the job everything ran smoothly with the crew. It wasn't anything that I needed to be home for but I was and it is nice to know they work closely together to make sure they are communicating what needs to be done. Eddy and his crew showed up on time the day we agreed upon and got right to work. I am so glad I was able to be home just so I could watch these guys hard at work. They clearly have an organized crew. They went to work like an operating room crew, each person knew their job, got right to work and did not stop until everything was finished. They cleaned up after themselves and hauled everything away. They even took the time to smile and wave to me and my kids who were pressed up against the windows in awe of their work. We haven't planted anything yet and already have had so many compliments from neighbors on how nice the house looks without all the overgrown yews. We plan to use Eddy's in the fall to trim our giant oak trees and for future tree trimming.

I called, we set up an appointment and he never showed. I contacted him the day of and never received a reply. Very unprofessional behavior and emails were rude.
